If that's why the Canucks lost they got bigger problems then Luongo. We'll agree to disgree on this one I guess. - Cptmjl
Its cool if we disagree.......but do you remember what he said? Total out of nowhere comments, and everyone was cringing. Like, dude, stfu.... |

They are openly taking calls, but they dont HAVE to move him at all.
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
Do you seem to forget Luongo was open about asking to be trading in the media last year? Dont be fooled.........THEY NEED to move him. He doesnt wanna play there, and they want Schneider as their guy now.... |

I disagree man.......a world class goalie doesnt chirp the other teams goalie during the cup finals when he let in 8 himself. He put uneeded pressure on his team, and they lost as a result. I think his best days are way behind him. I dont think its entirely his fault that they didnt win the cup........but he certainly wasnt playing world class as seen by his goals against. - kindlyrick
I don't know if his best days as an overall goaltender are behind him or not. What I do know is that he has always seemed to be a regular season stone wall, who sh*ts himself when the heat gets turned up. If only DiPietro had his talent (and didn't spend half his life in the infirmary)- then we'd have had a GREAT goalie. Having a pair of b*lls has never been DP's problem, that's for sure.
Luongo would probably get us TO the dance- but so would Nabokov, given the same team in front of him. I don't want to waste a boatload of choice talent for that- I'd rather use those assets to get the defensemen we need, and let Nabokov run with THAT team, myself.

no no I understand the situation, but they don't have to move him & if they do its not going to be as a dump. Star players dont get dumped & no matter what you think of him, he is a star player & one of the 5 best goalies in the world.

After all the crap thats gone on with Dipietro, i cant believe any isles fan is seriously talking about trading for Luongo? Aside from it being nonsensical, what need do the isles have for a goalie with Poulin, and Nilson chomping at the bit to get called up?

Well Thomas showed him. I remember, the Canucks as a whole were trying to get under their skin. Kesler as well. It completely back fired, pretty much inspired the Bruins to pulverise them in every way. |

You think the LIRR would mind a Hibachi? - Cptmjl
I don't know....just don't stash it under the train when you're done cooking, though. Someone did that down in Philly at the NFC Championship game a few years ago, wiping out a camper and like 15 cars around it- it looked like Hiroshima after the bomb hit it... |

Dont believe the B.S. Its posturing........of course they're gonna say they dont "have" to move him. This wouldnt be public if it wasnt an issue.........call it what you will, but Luongo wants out, and they want him out.
1. Pekka Rinne
2. Lundqvist
3. Quick
4. Ryan Miller
5. Marc Andre Fleury
Just my preference, but i'd take any one of those 5 over Lu |

Because like any other prospect... Luongo is talent wise what we dream either of our prospects will be come. Like has been said a million times on this board... prospects are a crap shoot... when you can get the thing you want those prospects to become .... you get it... unless it costs too much.

I'd take Lu over Rinne, MAF, Lundqvist(because I just can't stand the guy)and maybe Miller. This is just personal preference of course because they are all incredible athletes. |

Oh, believe me, my first thought was that this rumor was just a tweet from someone who desperately wants someone to read his tweets....LOL.....that said, if you take it seriously for a minute, that last post was about the best I could say about it. Luongo is a head case.....I still think we shouldn't have traded him for NOTHING, but that's water way under the bridge and out to sea, needless to say.... |

At 33 years of age, with 9 years left on his contract (more money per year, and one more year than RIcky D), having never won the big game in the NHL, I dont think he's the answer.

I don't want any part of Luongo at any price. We already have one nine year mistake on the roster in goal, we don't need another one. |

Rinne to me is the best in the league. MAF has won cups, and my personal opinion is Henrik and Miller are better goaltenders than Luongo.
Tim Thomas beat Roberto Lunogo last year.......its really that simple. |
