Execution of their system makes them look quicker. No system can automatically make players quicker. I'm reminded of when Laviolette was first hired, and he was asked about his system by the media. Because a lot was made of the Flyers wanting to play a more aggressive style. One of Laviolette's first quotes was that "players win games, not systems"

Sidenote - I never.. ever.. want to see Subban in orange and black... ever. I wouldn't even deal Shelley for him straight up. The guy is cancer on and off the ice, he's never in position, he's a puck hog, etc. People need to learn to look deeper than stats) Again, just my opinion...

finally saw what Burke saw when he made the deal but he was invisible for the first 2 games so not sure what we have in him.

He had some good goalies for a lot of his time in Washington, too.

The Flyers can still do that, and still have quality assets that can be traded. I noted that two years ago, the Flyers defense was rated one of the best in the League. look how fast things change in the NHL. They can change real fast in the other direction also.

He is definitely capable of being a good shut down guy his only limitation is his foot speed which is below average for an NHLer. Also his shot is way below average.

Great character guy and still putting on weight so he will only get stronger.

Luke Schenn has just as much promise as a defenseman as JVR has as a Forward.

He is definitely capable of being a good shut down guy his only limitation is his foot speed which is below average for an NHLer. also his shot is way below average.

Great character guy and still putting on weight so he will only get stronger.

My complaint is that we arent good at devolping dmen to their fullest potential. I hope that we dont hurt his growth anymore then toronto already has.

From what I've seen so far, his foot speed isn't an issue. His skating is better then advertised.
