You just agreed with me lol.. bryz was the reason we won.. hes been outstanding all year - Flyersgod
Bryzgalov was great, but it was a team effort. Lots of good shots blocked, puck battles won to clear the puck on the PK. And a really strong effort by the Couturier line in shutting down the Rangers top line.

Rangers much easier to play against. They lost a ton of grit in the offseason. I think I underestimated how much Fedotenko, Prust, Dubinsky, and Anisimov meant to that team. Just didnt feel suffocated at all by them like last year. |

Couts is almost untradable. His defense is just incredable. And to think he's only 20. He really was a heck of an 8th pick. Have to thank mono for that, LOL. |

Rangers were on the 2nd game of a back to back. They were running on fumes.

yeah, I guess I agree more or less.
still, it was a desperate Flyers team and a Rangers team playing after a hard fought emotional win last night.
The 3rd period might be more indicative of the Rangers than the 1st 40 minutes. |

That's an important fact to remember. At least we beat them in regulation. |

I have very little trouble with it. I don;t know how much he has left in the tank, but you know he's a good soldier and will definitely provide leadership for the kids. |

I do too ... if anything is missing on this team it's veteran leadership. |

also had to alter their style after falling behind.
but i do get a different feel from this rags team than the ones from the last 2 seasons. still dangerous, but i do think they will need to adjust. |

And Tortorella pretty much went with 3 lines and 4 defenseman. Not a good situation to shorten the bench. Regardless, you still have to outwork them, and I think the Flyers did that from the opening puck drop.

It's going to be a big help that way. If he enough in the tank to be a 3rd or 4th liner and to plant himself in front of the net on the PP, I am good. |

I've watched them 3 times now and they seem to be still figuring out how to play together and define the roles. But they have so much talent, it's impossible to say they will be bad for long. |

get ready to get sick of hearing this all season long. all teams are playing condensed schedules.. pretty sure no one is getting much rest. |

That's probably what they expect. Holmgren said that he's more a 10-12 minute a night guy now, but still can be helpful |

I like the changes they made. They're a better team for it. You can always easily pick up a role player at the deadline if needed.
