I'd rather not have to use LTIR, if possible. Right now, they aren't using LTIR at all, even with Knuble. - Jsaquella
like i said.. Im not sure how it works entirely.. I just saw that Gags has been a healthy scratch, see Knuble is coming back.. and thought.. what the hell lets get him back. lol |

Im going to make a conservative guess and say 2 weeks... minimum. The way he skated off with his arm hanging, and the fact that he was in a sling.. to me suggests either a separation or dislocation.. I just hope he didnt trash his labrum or worse. - jak521
I think it's safe to say that it's not going to be day to day. We'll see how bad it is. Hopefully it's not really bad. And if it is, then they'll deal with it. I just feel bad for Meszaros. He can't catch a break with injuries lately. |

It's not a bad idea. Not sure what kind of shape Gags is in. He had a tumor removed from his neck over the summer, so who knows if he's ready to be more than a spare part? At $3.25mm they have other needs. |

I'm just going to assume Meszaros died and then anything else will be optimistic.

They certainly have enough players that they can place on LTIR to get the Cap space. They'd just have to clear a reserve list spot. But I'm sure something would be going back to LA. I'd like him better then Knuble. |

Its a shame really.. I thought he was our best d-man by far so far this season. I expected him to be rusty as hell.. but looked great. I pray he just separated his shoulder and is ok. We wont ever know though. |

Exactly.
And besides....I saw yesterday that Jeff Woywitka got waived. You just can't pass on an opportunity to bring in a former 1st round pick, right?

I like what Knuble brings to the locker room, but unfortunately.. i feel he is a bit over the hill playing wise. As long as he can do a serviceable job defensively I will be happy. Gagne would make me happy just because he has always been a reliable 2 way forward. He could realistically play any line as well. |

They'd have to swing a deal for a defenseman now...Technically they have a contract slot open, but as soon as Laughton plays in game 6, that's filled. |

I would assume they would just slot either Foster or even Brandon Manning in that spot, no? I missed parts of both games over the weekend and didn't see much of Foster's work. Was he that bad?
I was kidding about Woywitka, btw. |

I figured. Woywitka played solidly last year, but he's not a good fit.
I'd like to see Manning recalled, if anyone. |

I personally thought Foster was terrible. Gervais has certainly surprised me though. He made a couple of really heads up plays last night.. I was a doubter, but so far he has been impressing me. |

It was only 2 games, but I wasn't impressed by Foster. I liked what I saw from Gervais in his two games a lot more. |

I saw more than I expected out of Foster. Gervais played better, but I was one of the few that thought Gervais was a solid addition. |

Gervais is fairly mobile. He played better than advertised. I would assume Foster will re-enter the lineup in place of Meszaros. Sure would be nice if Gustafsson or MAB were ready to play. |

It would be ideal.
Foster played better than I expected. Granted, my expectations were exceedingly low. I like Gervais. He's been a good, solid third pair guy for awhile. He has to be limited, but as long as his minutes and matchups are watched, he's solid. |

I didn't think Foster played poorly at all. Obviously the coaching staff saw differently. |

Luke Schenn has gotten a little better each game.
Both Luke and Grossmann were getting the puck on net last night.
Now I'd love to see Coburn get some on net too.
Gervais had a solid game too.
The mezzy injury is bad, but hopefully L Schenn and Grossmann (and Coburn) can step up their games.
I'd just plug Lilja in until Gusty can play,
for Mezzy right now.
Couts Talbot and Jake were great last night.
Very encouraging to see them play at that level.
Not only shutting down a great line but generating
offensive chances.
Big monkey off their backs getting a win and the Rangers.

BTW there is a great micro brewer in Baltimore named Brian Strumke
Stillwater ales is his brewery name.
He makes a fabulous Belgian style saison, try one if you see them around, I was blown away. |
