Kassian is going to be good no doubt, but you could put Cory Sarich on that wing and he would score 20.

I said it all along Kassian has a lot more potential than Hodgson. Hodgson will be a great pp player and offensive zone player. But he's not the type of player you win championships with. He's not hard to play against. Kassian is a f*cking handful. He's gained two steps this year. All that time with the Sedins in the offseason must have really gotten to him. He has the potential to be a game breaker. Looks like the Sedins have found a new linemate. Burrows has passed the torch. That bodes well for the depth of our lineup.

Booth Kesler Burrows (maybe Burrows is the playmaker we've been looking for, for Kesler)

Kassian is better than the twins.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won the art Ross this year.

Kassian is not only becoming the best power forward in the game, but maybe one of the best players in the game. He can score, hit, pass and his defensive game is impressive. If he keeps playing with the Sedins I think he can make a serious push for 40 or 50 goals this year. IF he keeps playing with the Sedins. He is a total force out there. Kassian can score at will. Something we haven't seen in a long time.
- hankthetank

So the best player in the game has to play with not one, but two guys to continue to be the best in the game?

That used to be the notion, but we've tried plenty of linemates that didn't work out with them. You have to have some finish and offesnive awarness to get the job done with them. Kassian will improve the Twins, I think. He'll open up more room for them ....and you know what happens when they have room

I think Montana for the golf trip this year. My wife is heading out to the Island on Feb 7th for 10 days. I can't go, I'll be in Florida on business.

More like realistic. What's wrong with Kassian on the top line? It has a trickle down effect on the lineup with Burrows on the second line.

He has a career total of 6 goals

So? Yakupov and Galchenyuk have 1 career goals. Does this mean they are bad players? Did you watch the game last night? Kassian was a man amongst boys. Offence will not be an issue for the Canucks now that Kassian has found his game. If the rumours are true and the Islanders really are the mystery team and Gillis is putting a package together for Tavares then look out. The Canucks will be set for years to come with Tavares, Kassian and Schroeder.

It was a good hockey trade for both teams. We had no need for Kassian cause of Foligno's emergence. Sabres got their first line center, Canucks got their gritty winger. Sabres win that trade though only cause Sulzer has been very steady for us while Gragnani isn't even with the Canuck organization

Exactly, filled needs for both teams. Not really a winner or loser. good hockey trade. Sulzer or Gragnani wouldn't have have made our team this year so it doesn't really matter.
