I'm with you TPC. We don't want Kreider to be our Neiderreiter. Would much rather the Rangers explain to him what he needs to work on and how he can get better.

Lets also not forget when he jumped into the lineup for the Rangers he was fresh off winning the National Championship in college.

I think hes simply out of shape.

I don't know if that's it, he has been playing with the Whale all year.

I think they got into his head a bit there on focusing on the defensive part of the game and he's lost his confidence offensively.

I dont get why theyre being like this with him, Gaborik is no defensive whiz but he works hard. If Kreider is busting his ass out there, thats all you can ask of a 21 year old kid. Play hard, remember your fundamentals, dont take dumb penalties... those are the only 3 things I would ever push on the kid.

They got Gabby when he was 27 and already pretty much set in his ways. Even still he's still a better overall player than he was when he got here. They have a future projected for Kreider and know he can be a terrific two-way player. They are working with him to develop his full potential. Why stick him in the lineup now and only ask him to focus on offense and then see him turn into a one-dimensional player that will infuriate us with his lack of defensive awareness?

Nobody is saying they shouldnt work on his defensive awareness, but they have clearly been solely focusing on that and neglecting his amazing offensive talent... and well, that speed, what happened to that speed? He looks slow out there.

I hope they dont turn a potential Bobby Ryan into a Dubinsky, that would be a tragedy.

It would be funny to see the Flyers go 0-4-0.

GNR line is all well and good but what happens when that line gets shut down and secondary scoring becomes the issue yet again?

Rough start compounded by some unfortunate injuries. Things could get dark real fast in a short season. It will be interesting to see if they can recover.
