I liek Sylvester just fine, but he is not a play by play man. He was just as lost in the MEdia Box as Myers was on the Ice. Razor is cool, but terrible. I can't believe I would say this but I miss RJ and Harry.

not necessarily if they are punted after a homerun they are only worth 1 goal

watching the game for any duration of time doesnt by default mean anybody is an expect at understanding it.

all people care about is how articulately you (or anybody,dont mean you personally) write out your thoughts and observations on the game on this board and if it makes sense.....not that people have watched hockey for x amount of years.

My daughter was in the womb while attending her first Sabres game.
She started watching hockey with me when she was 3 months old.
She is the most interesting toddler in the world.

my son doesn't watch TV and i can't get him to sit still long enough to watch a game with me.. but he is only 18 months old. I plan to go skating on my pond this weekend and see if he is interested at all..

Shunned or not it's the truth. It's no shot to people who haven't played but you can tell the extremely critical fans have most likely never stepped skate on ice.

I'll admit, I've never played. Part of that is because I'm a girl and it wasn't something girls did when I was a kid.

Doesn't mean I understand the logistics of the game any less. Do I need to know what it feels like to get plastered into the boards in order to understand how much it hurts? I'm pretty sure I don't need to experience it to know it hurts.

in all reality who gives a crap how much of an understanding people have of the game.. we are here to discuss the sabres and all things hockey. Just because someone doesn't understand the game as well as you doesn't make their thoughts or views any less important. It is an internet website, you don't need to be the smartest of the people on the internet.
