Probably not the guy I saw. This guy looked like a cross between one if those guys on an aircraft carrier who direct the traffic and a Jerry's kid. It takes all kinds I suppose

Myers isn't a baby anymore, this is year 4 and since his rookie campaign he continues to regress, I've always said I think Myers can be good but not great. He has been out worst d-man this year by far. After Gerbe was hit from behind last night Myers comes up and taps someones shin guards...are you serious? The guy is 6'8 and as soft as can be. Thats deal that was supposedly on the table of Getzlaf for Myers was a stral and Darcy passed on it. My point here is I don't know what a lot of people see in Myers, all I see right now is him regressing.

I just watched the thing... he was in his face and then the ref seperated them... I agree that he wasn't exactly just trying to break through the ref to get to the guy but come on... Myers is not a fighter.. i don't see all the flack about Vanek not throwing fists with Lucic when Vanek was the closest last year after Miller got run. Myers is not a fighter and he knows it.. I don't blame him for not wanting to get punched in the face or break a hand just to lose a fight... I am a big guy but I know that there are a lot of people in the world that can kick my ass... haha

This is going on 3 years now.
The excuses need to stop with this kid. The excuse train has now turned into just a straight up fail train.
He is even in denial telling a Sabres reporter that he does not think he has played that poorly. That's a bad sign.
I would trade Myers right now before his stock goes any lower but I am sure the GM's around the league have already noticed his drop off , they dont need some hockeybuzz posters to tell them that.

I am not saying I am opposed to moving Myers for the right deal either..b ut people are treating him like he should be in the AHL...

he is a kid... who is an offensive dynamo who is being told me to be a defensive bada$$.... it doesn't happen over night...

Because teams see his potential as huge and I personally don't see it at all. I'd rather see McNabb here on a nightly basis and move Myers to aquire a stud player.

he is a teenager then... he is not a kid in the NHL but he is not a full grown man...

it just doesn't seem right to look at this 22 year old kid and expect him not to have growing pains as they change the style of play that got him to the NHL...

You cannot say Myers needs to be Chara, Pronger, Weber, Boyle, etc every single night.... I posted it a few pages back.. he ranks right in there int he NHL with hte best of them in PPG... his offense is there.. but no one is patient with his defense/physical game.

McNabb has regressed also but he has nowhere near the hype people have for 57, Some people act like Myers is going to be a Norris caliber d-man and that couldn't be further from the truth.

he could be Myers blessing in disguise... Myers with a stay at home D-man that allowed him to play his game... he wins ROY.... but when Myers has to be that stay at home AND be the offensive guy who crashes the net.. he gets burned a lot.
