I have watched him play for 3+ years and that is not his game. When he is on his game he is a puck moving defenseman with good stick work and an awsome stride. HE is never some physical presence. He is uncomfortable with the part of his game.

Yup, they keep trying to make him into something hes not. He has gotten more physical in teh corners, but if that comes at the expense of him not being able to bring the puck up ice then I dont want it.

One more point. I dont want John Scott on this team, but some people do. If he is on the team, why doesnt he go out the next shift and beat the ever living hell out of the other guys. That is what he is getting paid to do. According to the Scott fans, his mere presence makes us tougher. I don't see it.

Personally, I couldn't add weight if I tried when I was that young, and I'm just 6'0. He can certainly make much smarter plays in his own end, that's my big issue with his game right now.

That said, I agree. Scott should suit up for Boston (Thornton) and Toronto (Orr). Other than that, he's wasting oxygen in the arena.

As a rookie, I feel he didnt overthink things. He played to his ability and let the game come to him.

For some reason, I feel like he is more dumb playing hockey now than he was 3 years ago. He just makes the absolute worst decisions, offensively and defensively.

My biggest issue is he isnt moving his feet. He looks either out of shape or not able to handle the extra weight put on his frame. As soon as he gets the puck he looks immediately to make an outlet pass, instead of skating it up or even taking a few strides then passing it up.

Where is Myers when Ott is getting his brains bashed in by all 5 Carolina players at once? He's out doing his usual "drive-by". And I don't want to hear any crap about the faceoff being brought back down into the Sabres' zone if our defense skates in below the Carolina face-off circles to engage their players. Myers should not have thought twice about it, and should have come in to assist his new teammate (That new teammate I'm referring to would have done it!!!).

Where is Myers after Gerbe is face-planted into the boards from behind? He's tapping the Hurricane player on the shin pads, as if to say "Please don't do that, pretty please with sugar on top".
