Hard to gain confidence to play when your goaltender could not stop a beach ball.

It wasn't like Ward was that good last night.

With big money comes big responsibility. Myers so far has not fulfilled his end of the bargain. I'm a fan of his but he needs to step it up, tonight would be a good start.

Sabres earned their goals last night. Ward made saves when he had to bail out his team (Hecht breakaway, Ennis diving redirection, etc). Ward didnt give up any give me's. Enroth.....

Theres juciy rebounds by every goalie every night hockey is played. You think Lundqvist doesnt give out juicy rebounds? You think Miller doesnt? Quick doesnt? Not sure how giving up rebounds = playing poorly.

I thought Ward played exceptional and Buffalo really had to work for their goals. Ward had no chance at stopping any of them.

@ Powerslave, I think NY & Ottawa would like a mulligan on there choice to give up on Chara. Thank God your not the GM.

If Miller's numbers make him an average goalie. What does Enroths numbers make him?

I get the sense that the team doesn't have much confidence in front of him. Something that he can probably sense. They don't play good either when they are scared to play outside of the box for fear of a turnover that could turn into a weak shot that could go in, then they turn it over anyways. Analysis Paralysis. He in turn plays even worse.

At one point Enroth put together a string of some real good hockey. Miller got hurt, he saw regular game action and was pretty goo. Since then he has been bad for the most part. Is it because he gets rusty on this team?
