When you get down to it, it's because Enroth is way too short. On the goal after Hodgson's giveaway behind the net, Miller would've easily stretched out to stop the wraparound. He's done it before & we've all seen it. But, for Enroth, he's a (frank)ing midget and takes 37 centuries to move his pad. |

That logic only works in Miller's favor on this site - homiedclown
Homie, stop it. Theres less pro-Miller people on this site than there are "Miller is average at best" people.
Nearly every goal is a "softee" from Miller. 2 on 1 and the defenseman doesnt take away the pass? Softee from Miller.
Stop that argument. |

PS, I dont think anyone is giving him slack. I don't think he has it in him to stick up for people. I wouldn't ask Vanek to stick up for his teammates either. Some guys just don't play that way. It is basically disgusting, but you can't change who he is as a player. YOu said it yourself. It's been 2 + years. - JPlatt915

If Miller's numbers make him an average goalie. What does Enroths numbers make him? - sbroads24
Miller is not an average goalie. I would say he is in the top 5-7 in the league. Even if the numbers don't support it. The Sabres give up more oddman rushes then most of the better defensive teams. The D are always pitching in. They don't do that on teams with an average goalie. |

God forbid we block a shot once a game... We have to block the least shots in the league... And also, why does Miller have to be so aggressive? The reason guys like Lundqvist are so successful is because they sit on their goal line, and take up 99% of the net. |

IMO, we should have started miller in the away game, and gave enroth a chance at home...in front of a home crowd where we have a slight advantage. would have been a completely different game |

Sure, but I am not sure you would get equal value. He is a flawed young Defenseman with a lot of long-term upside. It takes D a longtime to develop in this league. If you want a guy who will fight for his teammates, I don't think that is Myers, but he is still a good young player. He is getting paid more then he is worth right now, but Darcy said that when they signed him. I would also contend that when Myers is 25-30 he will be one of the best D men in the NHL. Are you willing to wait? |

Your logic is flawed
You just said enroth will never be a starter because his Gaa was around 3 for the last 16 starts
Yet it was OK for miller to be there after 20 plus starts last season
That trend looks more like a team issue then a goalie issue

Enroth sat back pretty far on that Staal breakaway, made him look like a goalie who is 0-9-3 in their last 12 starts |

Lunquest is a heckuva Goalie, but he is in a completely different system there in NY. Torts would have benched half of the Sabres team already for there sloppy defensive play. |

Ruff changes the lines mid game.... that doesn't mean a whole lot...
I do wish he would sub a guy in or two. |

Enroth plays a Lundqvist game, but doesn't have the athletic ability or size to do it. Miller does. |

completely real with you.... Myers and Miller are our guys who are under the biggest microscopes every game.... every goal is a softee.. and every game that Myers doesn't have 2 helpers and a fight is a waste of money. |

he gives up rebounds a lot and definitely drops down too early. |
