1) Myers can skate 100 MPH all he wants. It's time to stop coughing up the puck and grow a bit of a spine.
2) I watch as many Bruins games as I can, and you're wrong. Even guys like Bergeron or Seguin at least look for a dance partner in a scrum.
3) There are times when a player has to do what his coach may not want him to do, and that was an instance last night. This team is trying to establish a "tougher-to-play-against" mentality and reputation, and last night reeked of last season. - Powerslave

When I see Myers play I think his skating is the strongest part of his game. He has a great shot. He uses his reach well most of the time and plays his best when he is joining the rush. I think he is being coached to try and do things he is not comfortable with, and that brings his whole game down. - JPlatt915
Bingo. Bango. Bongo.
they are trying to change what made him NHL quality... putting a square peg into a circular hole... |

Disagree. Avoid taking a penalty. Address the situation when it won't cost you on the ice. |

BuffaloHardhat is Andrew Peters in disguise, he is jealous of anyone with skill. That's why he loves Weber and Pardy |

2.8 goals per game played through 20 games played, but his record was 9-8-2 with a game he replaced Enroth in.
Still a team issue? - theblueandgold
Gaa is similar and the d played like poop for long stretches of both sample size
The d last night reminded me of that stretch which was why I pointed it out
3/4 lines also played like crap last night, like the sample sizes

Well lets hope he is like Pronger or Chara. If thats the case, he is light years ahead of where they were at 22. |

Anyhooo I am chalking last night up to laying an egg on the road. It happens. It happened in Toronto too, we just had Miller in net. If we can play well at home, say win65 percent and win 50 percent of our road games we are in the playoffs. |

and here in lies the problem.. everyone expects him to be chara or pronger. he has higher than high expectations. I am sure he feels it all, same thing happened to Vanek when he got that monsterous contract, he blew. |

I didn't say I expected him to be Chara. I said "let's hope" is that so wrong. |

And that was only referring to his development curve. He is a much different player then chara.

I know Andrew and he is not sitting in some random Sabres Blog. He is probably at Burger King or McDonalds. |

Chara wasn't the Chara we know now until he got much closer to age 30. People forget that Ottawa let him walk in 2006, in large part because Buffalo absolutely victimized him in that playoff round. |
