I heard he literally can't even skate. Whoever's centering has to push him into the zone and prop him up with a tripod in front of the net. - BulliesPhan87
Sounds about right. Maybe he comes with rocket skates this time |

I've seen Metallica in the What'sitcalled Center, and they were at loudest equal to the Flyers arena music.
Then again, Metallica's a bit too bloated and complacent to be a fair measuring stick, probably lost a couple notches on the volume knob over the years. - BulliesPhan87
They were probably loudest at the outdoor concert they did. I lived in National Park, NJ, at the time - which is right across the Delaware from the Navy Yard. That concert made me a Metallica fan because I could hear it crystal clear and dug it. |

Just in thinking back over the past 4 games, the only goal that I thought was a bit of a "Bryzaster" was the James Neal goal in the Pens game.
Would I have liked him to stop Kovalchuk on the penalty shot? Yeah, sure. You want your highly paid keeper to make that stop.
Otherwise, on the list of things that need to be addressed on this team, I would suggest goaltending is further down the list than many in the hockey journalism community outside of Philadelphia (who love and cling to the Philly goaltender narrative much like out of town journalists cling to the "They throw snowballs at Santa" narrative) would like to admit. - johndewar
You do not blame goalies on clean face off losses when your sniper one times a rocket cleanly off the draw, blame the guy who lost the faceoff, not Bryz |

They were once my favorite band. I caught them just before they really became the bloated has-beens they are. This is the image that comes to mind now

I wish everyone in the building would simultaneously tweet--TURN DOWN THE MUSIC! (It's even louder this year, and I didn't think that was possible.) Also, the breakins from Xfinity have this new Sigourney person with a really shrill voice yelling into a mic with the volume turned up way too loud. It may result in murderous rages among the susceptible. - bodiva88
it's one of the reasons i don't really love being at the games any more, and this is coming from a guy who's literally listening to iron maiden as i type this. |

When I first heard Jonesy was for the shootout in the playoffs, I thought it was bunk. Then, I remembered how he said he was sucking wind in the 2000 Game 4 against the Penguins and figured that experience probably made him pro-shootout so other out-of-shape players could be spared the turmoil he endured. - Flyskippy
the 3, 4, 5 OT games are a rarity. i hope the current format never changes. |

Especially when Hartnell said that the team knew about the Pens going for that play a lot and the Flyers failed to set up properly. |

Speaking of lottery. Play the 50/50 when you come in the building (they've instituted it this year) because the lines are crazy later in the game. They've given away about $25 k (with equal amt going to Flyers Charities) each of the first two home games to one lucky winner. - bodiva88
wow. pretty cool. i'd never win. |
