I think Schenn will be a nice player but I don't see him being anything special. Nothing against the kid but I'm not completely sold on him. - stveshdy
Im with you 110%. I havent seen superstar in him like we did with giroux |

The whole Flyers are desperate thing is vastly overplayed. There's zero reason to rush into a deal, even with Meszaros out. - Jsaquella
I agree I am saying that the other teams would price up there players because of the flyers situation. Honestly I would do nothing and even if the season goes down the drain I would be ok with that because we would have young players with talent and a cap space to go into the deep FA pool that is coming up this summer |

Its prorated if the player comes back? - Flyersgod
Nope! A player on LTIR counts against the Cap the same as every player. All that happens with a player taken off LTIR, and placed back on the active roster, is that the exemption goes away for that player. And you need to have the Cap space t bring him back.

He's about 6 months older than I am. Trust me, no one is sold on me either
I like Schenn's game. Only time will tell though. |

To me Montreal is just as desperate. They can't get Subban signed and thats a serious issue. - stveshdy
Good point....then instead of a trade again why not just tender an offer sheet and force there hand |

I don't see Montreal being desperate. Subban is RFA, they have all the leverage. |

I would trade B-Schenn and a pick for Subban and not even think twice about it. - stveshdy
I would also, but it would be hard to do.

Let them price up their players then. Tell 'em to (frank) off and hang up the phone. There's zero desperation, or at least there should be zero desperation.
That said, the FA pool is NOT deep on defense. |

He hasn't impressed me. He is very inconsistent. He has had injuries which have hurt him but he looks very good for a week than disappers for a few. He's still a young player but I don't see superstar material. |

Not even close, but that's not Schenn's game. |

I think Brayden Schenn is going to be a very good player in this League. Not a star, but along the level of past top player here such as 17 and 18. |

Flyers already tried that. I don't see the point in doing that. To get Weber I understand but for Subban I would work out a trade. |

for some reason, i get this funny feeling that we can pull off this deal for a lot less then everyone is thinking/considering...idk why, but i cant see the flyers losing in this trade... |

Well, if the Habs are serious about the cost, the Flyers could easily say that they're going to offer sheet him, and force the Habs to sign him to an undesireble contract or deal him.
I still see it as a pressure situation for the Habs to some extent because their best player is not playing. |

I agree about being a good player but im not sure he will be as good as 17 & 18 to be honest. |

They don't have that much Cap space. But I would be okay with not making any deals. I want them to make the right deal. Not a panic deal. |

I guess it depends on how you value players. I rather have a good defense. |

One I think Montreal matches and two, Weber is worth all those draft picks, but Subban isn't. |

That description fit many players until they fully developed. Steve Yzerman was th subject of trade rumors prior to the lockout-shortened 1995 season, for example. |

As much as I love coots I cant help but wonder how good Dougie Hamilton would look in a flyers shirt right now. To your point then maybe you make the trade knowing there are more options to replace Coots then a D man IDK |
