What do you think the upside is of Gormley or Runblad? Have you seen them play? - MJL
I think Homer has done a pretty good job of identifying younger d-men who weren't fully developed, but have since grown into quality d-men (Coburn, Meszaros, and Schenn TBD). I couldn't even tell you who fits that bill right now in the league, but I'm sure Homer is always doing his due diligence speaking with team's who have organizational depth on the blue line who may lack at forward depth. |

I like Gormley's upside more. Flyers prob be able to squeeze a pick too. But for young promising dmen that can move the puck like these guys are assets I would move a B Schenn for. - Just5
I personally don't know a lot about either player. Gormley is very young, and Runblad doesn't have a lot of NHL experience. Unless you've seen either play a lot, I don't know how anyone can deem that it's worth trading Schenn for them. I leave that up to scouts.

Josh Rimer, producer for XM's "NHL Home Ice" and SportsNet in Toronto, has reported that the Flyers have contacted the Montreal Canadiens about their young defenseman P.K. Subban.
Rimer also reported that Sean Couturier would likely be involved in any deal involving the Flyers and Subban

I do too. He's shown he can acquire quality defenseman in the past. I have full faith in Holmgren. |

If Schenn is going O-EL would have to be coming the other way for me. Too risky otherwise. |

I'm aware his name was mentioned but I wouldn't do it, Couturier would not be in any offer even made in an effort to land PK for me. |

I'd be ecstatic for that. But I don't see that happening. OEL has star written all over him.

That's true but even with PK this team is not winning the cup & probably not even the year after so how much better would it make them? Maybe a bit but I don't think even as good as PK is and can be that he's that much a difference maker that I'd be so willing to include Couturier. |

Not really... I'd say just as much as when we put the offer-sheet out.
Couturier isn't gonna be move for Subban tho. Read, Jake, maybe B Schenn. I could see one of those guys getting moved. Not Couturier. |

talks ongoing today. Likely sign a bridge contract around 4-4.5 range by next week.

Told Subban will take weekend to think things over... My sense is Habs won't go past three years at most... We shall see |

Well I wouldn't rule out sending some picks with Schenn if the deal could get done. I doubt PHX is even entertaining offers on him tho. |
