thats not why. He said he wanted to slow down Staal so he put Ott Hecht and Kaleta against him and he was happy with the results.
Grigs has done zip. We all make fun of Garth for getting on his knees for Grigs, yet we're all up in arms when Lindy doesnt play him when he's done nothing? i dont get it. - Homer
He was playing good then he get's benched for nothing in the 3rd |

what did he say ? - gerbe75pts
he wanted to slow down Staal so he put Hecht between Ott and Kaleta to do that, and wanted to roll with 3 lines in the third. |

It's a team in transition now. They've made strides to get bigger and stronger, but we just won't see a full roster of it for another season or two. - The_Inkwell
I agree, but if it's a team in transition then if people are patient with Regier then they should also be with Ruff as well, no? I'm not a huge fan of Ruff, and would not mind another coach if a better one can be hired, but I think the current lack of talent falls on Regier more than Ruff. Ruff gets so much hate but Darcy had a lot of years where he drafted poorly, and traded away 2nd round picks for basically worthless talent.

Geez I don't know different players, same kind of stuff happening, wonder if it has anything to do with coaching and player selection. Very disappointing loss, especially after losing the first game, you would think they would come out with fire, but nope. At least a few guys are playing alright, Stafford doing his invisibility trick as usual and no offense but we bring Hecht back into the fold. |

Its been four games, they started camp less than 2 weeks ago...I juct cant believe the over reaction. Well I can believe it but i dont agree with it. - Homer
im not jumping over a the bridge yet 44 games left time for improvement ......but it feels like the same story every year w Ruff.....he stifles offense ( except the two years post '05 lockout ) he is in love w his "system" and his guys.....the team regularly starts slowly, and he struggles to find an answer...he can not manage a goalie rotation.....he usually gets antsy and switch's up the lines before they get time to gel....the pp has been terrible since Arniel left......they will prolly get hot at the mid point or stretch run and fall short we've seen that in '03, '04, '09, and '12....' hasn't won a play off series since '07....its like ground hog day other teams make changes but we've been Phil Connors since '97 time for a change..................................but unless Ruff quits or kicks one is not coming |

The Sabres had one of the most exciting and productive offensive teams with Briere , Drury etc and Ruff had a great system then. |

Stifles the offense?
We've had over 40 SOG's in half our games so far. Its not Lindy's fault they arent going in. I think he lets the guys go for it. Some other stuff you wrote, sure, I agree...but i dont think he wants the guys not to be offensive minded.

He's looked good. The price is right and I think playing him a 3c or 4c and on the PK is perfect.
I think our biggest worry right now is Myers and the Foligno, Ennis, Stafford line. But again, it's only 4 games in.
