I'd probably go D at 8 then trade back into the 1st to get Wilson, Nassib or Glennon...in that order...with Wilson and Nassib being a tie

Nassib may have a hard time with the long pass and IMO we should grab our number 1 need with the 8th pick and that's QB. I want NOTHING to do with any QB from California or Florida.

Again, the contract really shouldn't have anything to do with how he actually plays or what you expect out of him. A lot of the contracts these younger guys are signing are based on potential and what the team thinks they might be worth down the road.

Roy's contract was the same way when he signed it almost 6 years ago. People hated it. Thought they were paying him too much. In all reality, that contract ended up being a steal because of how contracts inflated and because he finally ended up meeting the potential that was expected out of him.

And Myers had 1 good year too.

I bet if we all went back and watched the games from his first year, we would be having the same conversations about what he's doing on the ice. Everyone just got so enamored with him that he's never going to live up to expectations. Unfortunately, reality sucks and we've all been brought back down to it.

karlson was drafted as a great offensive d-man. myers was draft report was that he will be a project. i think the report is right on. its not about making excuses for a guy because his number should quiet any critic. if you dont think he is good back that up with something other than well this guy is doing better. im glad some people are doing better....alot of other dmen are doing worse.

I agree with this. His coaching method is to coach not to lose. He doesn't coach to win. And he gets out coached frequently because of this. That's why we lose so many games late in the 3rd period, IMO.

They have to. They have 2 major needs, LB and QB. Qb's always jump into the 1st round so the chances of your guy falling to the 2nd round are minuscule. However because positions like QB usually get picked earlier than they should chances are there will be a LB or 2 that will fall into the 2nd round because of it

not sure but its just bound to happen to almost every player on a team at some point.

You need to stop taking this so personal, for what Myers brings to the table he plays like a midget. He brings no intensity or bang to his game at all. you watch Subban and Doughty and they bring it. Myers is a skinny rail who play scarred and nervous.

89, i agree with you, people are freaking out about myers not being the guy they want but he has to grow into it and he needs an attitude change along the way. i think he'll be fine in a few years but he's still got things to work out, hopefully he gets to where he needs to be (elite player, whatever style that ends up being ((smooth skater or bruiser with slick skating)) )

i think the biggest issue is that the sabres have finally realized they needed to rebuild and are doing so and Miller is slowly wasting away while the team takes the necessary years to rebuild.

i still think our defense is the biggest wtf, we all know the forwards have problems but we have so many parts at defense and i don't think they know what kind of defense they want to build with their parts, it seems disjointed and wasteful.
