89, i agree with you, people are freaking out about myers not being the guy they want but he has to grow into it and he needs an attitude change along the way. i think he'll be fine in a few years but he's still got things to work out, hopefully he gets to where he needs to be (elite player, whatever style that ends up being ((smooth skater or bruiser with slick skating)) )

i think the biggest issue is that the sabres have finally realized they needed to rebuild and are doing so and Miller is slowly wasting away while the team takes the necessary years to rebuild.

i still think our defense is the biggest wtf, we all know the forwards have problems but we have so many parts at defense and i don't think they know what kind of defense they want to build with their parts, it seems disjointed and wasteful.

Thats the thing. They havent decided weather to rebuild from scratch or go balls to walls for the cup. They are sort of in between and now have a roster with talented players that dont mesh well. In the meanwhile are wasting Millers career.

i agree with that assessment. i think it's part not wanting to admit that payroll should be cut if we're in rebuild mode adn part of it is pretending we're a contender so other people don't notice we're in rebuild mode. I have serious doubts on whether or not vanek, pominville, AND Miller are all re-signed after next year. something tells me we might only resign 1 or 2, which is iffy at best. i'm mostly referring to vanek since armia is kind of vanek-y.

yeah i really felt during the flyers v blackhawks Final that we made a huge mistake not making a coaching change for laviolette when he was available. he may be a jerk but they're always jerks when they're not your coach and he produces results.

I like Lindy but his style is kind of boring and he seems lost at times.

yeah you're probably right. part of me wonders if regier being re-signed is because pegula likes his style because he's kind of a yes man. I did think it was interesting in last saturdays open practice that pegula mentioned how there were issues with lindy being "mean" to the players and that lindy took the steps to address it. it came across like a boss that heard a complaint and reprimanded an employee for wrongdoing. i honestly think we could see regier fire lindy at some point, but no, i don't think it's entirely likely this happens either.

Do you know what I see when I look at these stats? Regression every single year. What's wrong with those numbers? They're getting worse by the season since he won the Calder.

he was on pace to have a career high in goals. the numbers show that he will get you a goal ~ every 4 games a point every other have a good plus minus and take a penalty once every 8 games. has done it the last 3 years.
