Right but you can't have it both ways, you can't just flat out say Miller "is" an average goalie because of his career numbers and in the same breath say Myers has regressed every year but not take into account his numbers. Myers statistically had a better season last year than the year before. Myers has ups and downs but he is not getting flat out worse every time he steps on the ice, the facts don't support that. He went from having a Calder rookie season, to a sophmore slump, then he played great in the playoffs, then started slow and got benched then turned it on at the end of the year and got hurt.

My guess on Myers is he looked like crud the second season, then turned it on in the Flyers series

We have waited 21 months to see that Myers again

and I know you did not direct it at me

I think Myers should be our best D man at least 5 times out of ten games at this point in his career. I can accept that a few other young d men have passed him in the rankings, but just show us more of that Flyer series

Skinner is average height, and has excellent balance from being a figure skater before hockey. Myers is a klutz. Add two and two together and Myers will lose that battle 9 times out of 10.

This town and media picks one person and crushes them based on their contract, I am very critical of Vanek but I didn't start until he was 26 years old and I realized he needs to be more consistent. But as you know there were many people here who wanted Stastny who is in a very similar situation to Myers, maybe not the same degree but he was demoted off the 1st line last year and he was paid similarly to Myers at a very young age after a huge season, since then he has "regressed" as well but people were fine with it and wanted him
