You think they're going to send him back? Did you hear something?

If grigo can get anyone on this team going on the score sheet they should keep him. Foligno is not a top6 guy, I knew he would struggle this year and Ennis needs to be sat. Stafford I think is working harder than the other 2
- sbroads24

I actually thought Foligno looked good last night. I noticed him a lot more than I had in the 3 previous games. I feel like that line just needs to get one in and then it'll start coming for them. They've had chances, they just haven't been able to bury them.

Trade Grigerenko and whatever to get Ryan OReilly
As long as Ruff is the coach. Offense will suffer.
What a joke putting Hecht at center the whole game and letting Grigo rot on the bench. Ruff answer was he was scared of Eric Staal. Are you kidding me.
i say get Oreilly because he is a def. center a ruff kind of guy.
I feal sorry for Grigo being stuck in the Ruff no off. shell. He probably should go back to juniors and at least get a chance to play hockey again

Foligno is trying to handle to puck to much and be something he is not... Just go hammer people and drive to the net when Ennis or Staff has the puck.

nope, but they way they used him last night told me all I need to know. I could be wrong but it sure doesnt look like they will be keeping him considering how they used him last night.

Players have a tendency to do things like that when they're not getting goals. They overthink things and make it more complicated. They just need to simplify things and I think it'll work out in their favor.

Do you really think Grigo has a chance to develop under Ruff. Game 4 panic button pushed. Retread Hecht back at center. To shut down Staal. Really common.

What a waste of one of the games they could use. It's like buying something and then coming home and throwing it right in the garbage.

I just can't believe how night and day that line can be. 4 games 0 points between the 3. Get Ott on the top 6. He will never take a shift off

of course I do. Hecht is playing better than Grigs right now, plain and simple.

Grigs is 18 y/o and will be a good player...just isnt ready yet. I havent seen anything that proves he is.

Plenty of players have had very good offensive seasons under Ruff.

I think its like buyers remorse. You buy something, it isnt as good/fun as you thought it would be so you dont use it as much as you thought you would.

Philly 1-3-1, Pittsburgh 2-2, LA has one point. I not panicking on the season yet, but the decision making of management sure is frustrating as hell.

I honestly don't see where Grigorenko has been bad, the couple bad passes he has made are the same plays I have seen Vanek and Pommer make the last couple games. He needs an opportunity to get comfortable, again Ruff is now making some players afraid to make mistakes while others can do whatever and not miss a shift

Vanek leads the NHL in points, Pommer is one behind. They can make mistakes because they are producing.

Grigs is making mistakes, which is understandable, but he has to contribute offensively too.....he isn't. He has as many points as me and you.

If Ruff was so worried about him, he should have just sat him in the press box. I don't think that counts as one of his games, though I could be wrong. Either way, it would have had the same result anyway.

Extending the gm 2 games into the season when he hasn't proven he can put a good team together yet with limitless resources. Lindy Ruffs ice time decisions and such.

I'm so sick of lindy and his hard ons for lame ass players. Hecht has has 3 solid scorin chances the last 2 games and looks like he isnt even trying. It looks like he is not trying not to score on Ryan in practice because he doesn't want to hurt his feelings.
- Buffalo--Sabres

Looks like he isn't trying? I'm sure that when he was on the breakaway he thought, "Man, I really wanna fire this into the goalie's pads." Come on.

Pommer certainly had a bad game on Thursday. I didn't have a problem with him at all last night.

Vanek's stupid penalty with 2 minutes left in the game last night though really made me angry. He needs to not do stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure he was extended before the season started. That press conference took place on the Saturday the season started. Our first game was the next day.

Homer, the ridiculous reason given for the lack of ice time last night was that Ruff didn't like the matchup. I would have understood that the night before when Staal had a hat trick. I don't get sitting the kid when there weren't a lot of goals on the scoreboard.

We don't know what we have, good or bad, because the kid doesn't ever play.

When the game Thursday was pretty much out of reach Ruff seemed to be giving him some more ice. I liked some of the things he did. I think he's starting to find his legs and get more comfortable.

The problem with Ruff is he doesn't coach to win, he coaches to not lose. It's like he was content to try and get it to OT to at least get the point, whereas Carolina put the pedal to the metal and wanted to finish it in regulation.

Ruff was out coached last night. Plain and simple.

I don't mean to sit Vanek and Pommer, but where not scoring. It's obvious this is Ruff's plan to get Grigorenko back to juniors. He's puts him out there with a laughable set of wingers, waits for him to make a minor mistake, then he sits him in a game where we again only get scoring from 1 line. 2 teams are playing back to back games, 1 team rolls 4 lines for most of the game, only westgarth played under 10 min. While the Sabres roll 3 lines and wonder why we look tired at the end of the game. If Grigo is in the lineup, play him, period. regular shift. Let him make the mistakes. Don't let him go back to juniors with this impression of the NHL, let him get into a flow
