this team needs work, that's for sure.

our defense feels like we're sort of confused on where to go. the vets are ok, but not great and myers still needs a partner. the defense is the most confusing aspect of this team to me because we have the depth but we don't seem to have a clearcut idea on what we want. we have too many parts and not a cohesive unit. if myers needs a steady veteran with him (tallinder was a good choice) then we need to identify and find that guy and cut a bunch of fat along the way.

the forward core is definitely rebuilding and honestly stafford and ennis are my question marks. I need eventually grigo will take over pivot #2 for ennis and ennis will either be pivot 3 or overtaken by girgensons but imo we need to figure out how to turn stafford into an upgrade (i don't know who but he pisses me off) and in a lot of ways we don't really have a second line worth a damn which is bad because our 3rd line is influx. basically we have a 1st and 4th line, which is a problem because those other two, while in the pipeline prospect wise, are kind of important for now too.

this team is way off and Miller is getting older and we have to hope he resigns because we don't really have any ready replacements for him in the pipeline that are ready either.

i think he should atleast get a 5th game and be able to play on a scoring line with pp minutes. if he doesnt dominate then atleast we can all say that he was given the opportunity.

He's getting a 5thgame, he's just being sat so we can get full value for the tryout. He'll get the experience of more NHL practices without having to burn the last game.

I've completely forgotten about that, too. His return to the Klagenfurt (I think) lineup did seem a bit fast considering he couldn't even get himself off of the ice when he got injured. I never trust foreign medical staff either.

I agree. This is a less than perfect scenario for Grigs. Short camp, no preseason and 5 eval games instead of 10.
