There used to be a billboard on rt 72 with graffiti just like that in the picture that read Ozzy is God. It brings tears to my eyes that it was destroyed. Going to LBI just wasn't the same after they removed that. |

Was never a Sabbath fan. Clapton playing two shows at MSG in April, I will be at both. Might be the last tour for Slowhand. |

The Devils roll over coaches and players often, lose skaters every year (some of them top players), have a no-name defense and seemingly a slew of role players up front and yet consistently are a huge pain in the butt to play against.
Their game plan is no secret, nothing innovative or complicated, so why is it so hard to compete like they do year in and year out? - 77rams
Aahhhh. You king of forgot to mention Marty. Without Marty, the Devils would probably have less or no cups, and be a very average team. Still a pain in the butt to play against but not quite so successful in the win column. |

Yup. Makes it look so effortless. I saw two shows in 2005 the Cream Reunion. Simply amazing. I was in awe.

I saw him in high school. Opening act was Stevie Ray Vaughn. If you're a guitar guy, fantastic show...actually wish I was older at the time would have appreciated it more

It can be fun -- or humiliating -- to look back several years later on things you wrote about prospects. For the fun of it, I brought up what I blogged after the first day of the Flyers' 2010 rookie camp.
The blind squirrel found a few acorns that day in most of what I wrote -- though I was a little too high on Shane Harper and totally overlooked Zac Rinaldo, who is now an NHLer while a guy like Harper will never sniff the NHL. But at least most of it isn't too cringeworthy a few years later:

Agreed, I think the situation gets resolved this week. In the end, I feel the Flyers are going to deal a young, promising forward for a promising young d-man (pretty much a JVR-Schenn deal). I'm not sure about the pieces being traded or acquired. - ravishingone
Why. There is alot of talk about PK. Sure the Flyers/Homer should kick the tires. But, what is the driver here. Their defense has been fairly stable. There is no serious problem with their defense. Sure, it could be better. But, why jump now. Is PK really the answers to our long term issues? Is this really the target, or is there better choices out there. I'd be willing to stay-pat in this shorten season. And wait for better choices. |

Anybody see this shift by Doan yet? Ends with Doan pounding Richie

Looks like Doan got in one clean blow. Not as bad as what I had heard.
Check out the two fights from Laughs/Rags last night. Brown pummels Asham, then Orr takes Rupp to the woodshed. |

Best part is the fan's reaction at the end.
I remember Richie getting his ass handed to him by Dubinsky a few times. |

That wouldn't make you any different then any NHL GM, scout, or player personnel director. Holmgren traded a First round pick for Steve Eminger. So far it seems you were right about Tye McGinn.

Pretty good scouting report overall, especially on McGinn |

2010 draftee Tye McGinn, although not necessarily projected as a scorer showed good hands on several occasions. He is adept at deflections and going to the "greasy" areas in front of the net. That can take a willing player a long way even if he lacks stellar natural skill. Keep an eye on McGinn, because I think he'll be a pro.

That's what makes Richards the player he is. He has the leadership and courage to come off the bench, challenge a much bigger player, to stand up for a teammate.
