I thought talbot was that guy

I see some qualities in Talbot that remind me of Lappy. No question.

Every team needs a glue guy like Lappy to be successful. I really like what I have seen from McGinn.
- PLindbergh31

Me as well. To me its even more so about consistency from those ditch digger guys. The key to me will be having McGinn consistently bring a physical game, and give 100% every shift.

I got excited about Holmstrom, Harry Z and Wellwood as well but I didnt see that consistency over time.

Always was more of an Aerosmith guy. Whenever those upper notes are hit I try to copy them in the car. Funnest songs to sing along to.

Yup. If McGinn continues to perform like he is, he has a spot in the lineup imo. Very strong on the puck.

Poor Harry Z got in Lava's doghouse and hasn't been able to get out of it. Once he was sent to Adirondack last year, he was only called back up once, and took a pounding for his trouble in that game in Pittsburgh last year.

I don't know that he's necessarily in the doghouse. He always played with effort. I just think he lacks the size they're looking for.

You know who I had a man crush on for the longest time? Evgeny Artyukhin
If you look up some of his stuff on youtube he is batpoop crazy. I remember seeing him in a few games. He had great size and speed.

I'd really love for them to find another guy like Lappy.
- flyer_nutter

My vote is talbot. He does much of Lappys roles, with an offensive up side. I think max is gaining similar respect as well.

I remember him. It's better to have a crush on him, than Dog the Bounty Hunters Wife.

I'm sure the coaching staff, and Holmgren are thrilled what they have seen from McGinn.

I think it should allow them to send Laughton back with the emergence of McGinn

Kid has showed he's good enough to play at the NHL level, I would disagree with the decision to keep him, but an argument can be made either way.

Let's hope not.

Edit: I'm predicting Leighton's first start will come next weekend. Back to back games with Washington and Carolina. He will get one of those games.
