Maybe this will help him stay with the Flyers. I couldn't find this since the OHL doesn't release it to the general public so I asked an OHL writer via twitter to get it for me.
Laughton while in Oshawa has a 69.4% face-off win percentage. |

Looks like this is not an easy choice for Homer.
Tim Panaccio @tpanotchCSN
Laughton is still here. Not in lineup tonight. Not many junior games left. Debate is whether worth sending him back now. He can play

Oshawa has 19 more games. I'm betting Laughton stays put. |

I just asked if Laughton is sent back and Oshawa is bounced at any point from the OHL playoffs can he come back or is AHL the only option.
AHL is the only option. |

Presently at 44.2%, he still needs a little technique and strength, which further points to why he should be sent down. |

Just passing along what I had asked, adjustments to the NHL are going to be common. |

Yeah. Oshawa could also be in the Memorial Cup. I lean towards sending him back, too.
The other consideration is, Oshawa has no games until Friday. The Flyers have games today and Tuesday before Oshawa plays again. If they scratch him tonight and Tuesday, waiting to see Rinaldo's availability, he won't miss any time with the Generals. |

Nope it would mean still further development & that's a good thing with not much pressure. |

honestly, i was looking at flyers stats earlier and immediately thought the same exact thing. if nothing else, you would think staying with the flyers as 4lc will be valuable in developing at the dot. and obviously i didn't even know he was dominating to that extent in the ohl
i have no idea if the flyers even consider that an important factor, seems pretty relevant to me though. particularly for a guy projected as a two-way 2nd or 3rd line center |

They could be a Memorial Cup team, not sure they have enough to get past Barrie in the Eastern Conference & then London from the Western conference.

Not saying that it'd be easy, just more potential games for Laughton in the OHL. |

Tough decision for Holmgren I would imagine, but ultimately the correct one I believe. He will be back next year in camp and have a hell of a shot at earning a roster spot. |
