Devils and Flyers have 10.
Rangers and Pens have 7.
You would think they would even it out more. - canadianpenfan

Chicago Blackhawks have had 2 back to back games thus far this season as well..
Vs the Coyotes (kings night before, won 5-2)
Vs the Red Wings (CBJ night before, won 3-2)
They beat the coyotes 6-4 and the red wings 2-1, in overtime!
Why aren't the Blackhawks exhausted like we are? |

I really need to do the counting at the beginning of the day... waiting till 6pm to add things doesn't seem to be all that great for me
- Flyersgod
Well you got one right.
Honestly, when you're talking about stretches of 5 games in 8 or 9 days and such i think b2b carries less weight. Everyone plays alot. |

I think b2b games as excuses to not even show up is embarassing. I'd rather complain about the refs then admit i was "too tired" to play.

Sabres have had 2 back to backs...
Won the first one against Toronto 2-1 the day after beating us...
Lost the next one vs Carolina.. Carolina and Buffalo had b2b games as a home and home... cool idea... buffalo lost both..

There are certain systems that our system doesn't match up well against... TB/NJ/NYR are the main 3 that i can think of...
Tampa has a hell of a team and a hell of a coach down here.
BTW.. this weekend was Gasparilla in Tampa... its like Tampa Bays mardi grai... maybe the boys went out too late the night before? - Flyersgod
Have you seen San Jose play this year?
Their PP would score close 100% against this Flyer PK. |

We struggle against SJ too... but i think that has to do with their team size.. they seem to out muscle us to easily...
I think our board play is bottom 10 in the league. If you can't win consistent puck b attles on the boards you're gonna have tough times winning games in this league...
Add on top of that the complete lack of defensive effort and you've got a team that smells |

This Couturier for Subban talk is ridiculous. Couturier is a better defensive player than Subban is lol |

I hope we aren't over valueing Coots... but i wouldn't trade them straight up for one another...
I really believe Coots will be something special in this league... i think subban will be a top 2 defender on a bad team.. top 4 on a decent team. I don't think he can do what he does with other teams.

That talk can be put to bed. Subban agreed to a deal with Montreal. |

Maybe we can get a real defenseman now...
What were the terms of the contract?

2 years, no $$ announced yet.
Subban is a real defenseman, would easily be the best defenseman on the Flyers had he been traded here. |

Yeah, who would want a 22 year old all star defenseman who is among the fastest skaters in the NHL. That would have sucked. |

Teams must not have wanted him that bad.. no one pulled the trigger on a trade.

Subban would be the best d-man on a fair amount of teams, not just the Flyers. |

Montreal probably demanded a massive return. There's probably a lot of teams that asked about him. |
