The ice was horrendous. No one could keep their feet and it looked like they were playing mud hockey. - FlyersGrace
Both teams played on the same ice. It shouldn't even be a discussion point. |

Was the ice bad in Florida? Like is it the weather or do the ice crew in TB just suck? - canadianpenfan
looked ridiculously bad ... probably not much the ice crew can do when it's that consistently hot outside. |

I don't think anyone is using it as an excuse, just an observation. In fact, someone even mentioned that the score may have been worse for the Flyers had the ice been better. |

The thing is, an very real and valid argument could be made that Boucher is more suited to the role being asked of Leighton. Boucher has shown that he can be a highly effective backup, who will put up solid numbers in sporadic play, where as Leighton has struggled more without the steady workload. - Jsaquella
I absolutely agree about Boucher over Leighton. Leighton has shown he is a much better goalie with more work. I realize Bryz will get a vast majority of games (maybe 40/8?) but it could be said that every point in a shortened season is vital. |

The ice looked good in Miami, but there were definite issues in Tampa. |

Not saying you are wrong or that its a stupid idea, but do you think adding Perry and Ryan is more important than upgrading defensively? - jak521
no you need to upgrade defense....obviously this is a 2 year plan where i wouldnt give up any pick or prospects to get these guys. with perry and ryan you could easily trade read/voracek/simmonds for defensive help.
Plus tank this year and get seth jones |

LeClair and Desjardins - maybe once in a lifetime.
Honestly, I'm ignorant (as are most fans) as to what is available AND what it takes to get them. We'll see. I just was dropping a little theory that we may want to go after a stud winger if available at the right price.
Here is my thoughts, when everyone healthy:
Harts G Stud Winger TBD
Schenn Briere Simmonds
Read Coots Voracek
REST OF GARBAGE ON 4th. - Daman

As for Seth Jones.. no chance of that happening. |

I don't know, it's about the same temperature in Philly in the Spring and we never have issues. There's other more northern cities with bad ice as well as southern cities with better ice. I think it has more to do with the crew. |

yeah, maybe the crew deserves some blame too ... but these year-round warm cities consistently have bad ice much more often. Or so it seems. |

Signing both Perry and Ryan seems like a waste to me when you already have Simmonds & Voracek locked up and you need to lock up Giroux, Schenn, Couturier and Read. I'd rather them just sign one or none. |

Maybe it has to do with funding as well? The teams with the best ice seem to make more money as a whole. |

Exactly. I'd rather add something equivalent to Perry and/or Ryan on defense than on those two guys. |
