Someone taking Kaberle's contract would be a gift...let alone a 2nd.

Im quite sure a team will pick him up

Did you go to the Moose/Phoenix game? If so any thoughts?
- QuebecPride

Yes I'm at most of the games if my team isn't playing.
You know there is some talent there. They have some size.

I wonder if Kaberle plays. Considering I don't think they'll break up Diaz and Markov on the PP for now, who plays point with PK on the 2nd unit?
- habby

Gorges or a forward.

Leafs managed to do well when they traded him...
- ShootingSemin

His play last year with the Canes might scare teams off.

One of the two will go, Weber is much easier moved because of his contract. I expect a late pick will do it for Weber, doubt anyone cares what round.

And this team really needs d, and has plenty of picks and prospects to boot.
- ShootingSemin

If PK didn't sign they could have been a great trading partner

I agree with you, but I'll bet within a few games it's Emelin and Markov and Diaz with Subban on the PP.

None of their top prospects are moving anywhere. Not even for a D. I cant see them parting with any of them. The habs would end up on the losing side of that trade easily- EE.

It's been done before with awful results. I'd put DD there before any other forward.

Even though DD hasn't been very good so far.

How was Audette? Kid is doing better lately, but overall I expected more out of a first overall pick. I know fully he has zero support, but still. His play at the U-17 was encouraging as he was Québec's best by a few steps.

And yeah the team got better in the trade deadline, saw Lebel scored his first two goals in that game, good for him. He was a nice addition to the team. Also like Hade, even though he's not the best offensively and he's not the fastest, he brings size and physicality, although he won't drop the gloves.

I heard a lot of good things about a 16 years old on Moncton: Conor Garland. He's only 5'6 but some say he's the best 16 year old in the league. He has 12 pts in 13 games, allbeit on a stacked team.

Weber is also easier to keep in the pressbox.

But does have offensive abiltity. 11 goals in the KHL for a D-man is not that easy. He's got a good shot.

Subban will be a minimum 7 mil/yr player if Bergevin can't get a deal done before this one expires.
