Erik Cole, who's struggled out of the gate, made arguably the most important play of the game by drawing Andy Greene in for a holding penalty in overtime.

He was very lazy on the third Devils goal Eric, he checks his man and the game is not tied.

It's not all silver bells and cockle shells, that first line needs some work.

Thoughts on Eller last night EE?

I'm not so worried for Cole, he started showing signs of the net-crasher he was to create things last year. Took him 8 games last year to get going, so probably more of the same.

Desharnais has me worried though. He was capable of winning puck battles last year, where is that now?

Most impressive part of Gallagher goal last night? Galchenyuk's shoulder drop that completely froze Brodeur. It also de-activated the sticks to allow the pass to get through. Exciting stuff imo.

As someone pointed out in the discussion last night. It's nice to say that we can HEAR the 4th line when they are on the ice.

Which game does Budaj start this week?

- kev1586

Eller was dependable despite the rust. He'll get better. not worried about him
Desharnais looks distracted. Doesn't have much time to get it in gear.
Cole's a step behind, but did a few good things last night, as mentioned.

Budaj starts Tuesday if I'm coaching, Price plays the other three.

Weber looked average at best last night however.
How long will Kabs be out for???

edit; I can't (frank)ing believe I actually WANT Kabs back in the lineup.
