From the tips at Bethpage Black. No bragging occurred. |

Reasonable price. Too short of a term though. |

Give him two years to put up the big points if he wants the big bucks.
I think both sides won. |

Not to mention the fact that he's still an RFA at the end of this one and NOT a UFA which a longer term would have caused. Term isn't all that bad really. |

This is what I'm saying. But EE's not wrong when he says that by the end of this contract, PK will command a lot more. |

Not really. 4 things can happen.
1. He continues behaving how he has, he loses favour just about everywhere in the league and is forced to take a small raise (seems unlikely).
2. He proves that he is worth more and Bergevin hands him a stupid contract in the neighbourhood of 8M per. (still unlikely imo)
3. He proves that he is worth more and accepts that he shouldn't be making much more than Price and signs at about 6-6.5 per for the full 8 years.
4. He proves that he is worth more, wants more than 6-6.5, Bergevin shops him and gets an incredible return OR he gets an offer sheet and Bergevin gets 3 1st rounders for his unwillingness to match the OS. |
