Speaking of suspensions, did Brad Stuart get anything for his elbow to the head of Landeskog? - Marc D
the league sent him a case of rice-a-roni and a lifetime supply of turtle wax. |

I prefer keeping Laviolette, but I can live with Murray. I think he's a good coach. - Jsaquella
If there is a Coach that could get this team playing disciplined Hockey, it's Murray. The players have certainly changed a lot, but through a couple of Coaches this team still has issues with penalties. |

Legit question. My travels can be related to North meaning the Poconos and south meaning Sea Isle City. - Stinkfitz
Fair enough. We call African Americans African Americans and we call Mexicans Americans. |

Technically, Clarke had to beg Snider to accept his resignation.
Hitch did get nuked, though - Jsaquella
That's true about Clarke. I had forgotten about that. Not to be morose, but that season is a big blur due to the personal issues going on at the time. Conversely, its utter failure was a great distraction to the reality going on. Kinda odd that way. |

I got to see a couple of SHU games there for the Big East tournament in 1991. It was great being in NYC and not having to be hated by any other fans. |

That's just it. It's not Lavi's fault he doesn't have the players and it's not completely Homer's fault that his attempts to get Suter or Weber failed to bring one of them in. They're just better waiting it out and seeing if NSH wants to trade Weber this summer. - Flyskippy
I'm not on the "Fire Laviolette" bandwagon, but it's the coach's job to get the most out his players. Not just say, "I don't have the right players for my system." You change the way you play based on the strengths and weaknesses of your roster, imo. |

Note...not saying Murray or Paddock excite me, either - Jsaquella
murray is a very good defensive strategist. you have to give him some credit for the way that LA was able to beat forechecks coming out of their own zone- very impressive. that said, his trapping style would only make bryz happy. |

I don't disagree with that at all. But I don't think that's Laviolette is going to change. Even though, in my view, the GM has sent some messages on changing. |

Snider is as loyal as they come to his former players. Especially his beloved Clarkie. |

agreed. i certainly would adjust given the lack of puck movers. forwards are shouldering more of a burden w/o a guy like carle. |
