He cant force the guys to sign the deals he puts out. I appluade his ballsy moves. - hereticpride
Anyone who wants the team to grow together has to understand a young team will have growing pains. Kneejerk reactions are not the answer(, Mr. Snider).
I think this is where the focus should be. On the part time 6/7 defenseman. Clearly he is bringing the rest of the team down, and ruining an otherwise solid effort from the team.

Last game they were tired, what excuse you spinning tonight?
Just zero creativity. The puck on the outside the whole time. Voracek needs to assert himself. Just accept a pass on the sideboard, look at the net, and then pass it back to the point. he's not even making himself a threat. How about the Flyers just get the puck to the net, and outnumber them down low. There's one player getting offensive chances this game, and that's Briere. - MJL
MJL, I couldn't agree more. You got guys unwilling to get involved, guys that look very unconditioned. I just refuse to believe the team speed is this slow. It has to be their conditioning. Long story short, no jump, no creativity, no speed equals no scoring and losses. Can't blame the D and the goalie. This all falls on the forwards. Do they know what back check is? Do they know how to kill penalties. Hey Voracek, Talbot, and B. Schenn, if you don't want to play then sit out and let guys like McGinn get in.

I'll do the same as I always do. Look at the game and make an informed and accurate description of what I see. As opposed to scapegoating one player, just because I don't like him. Especially when that player is at best the 7th defenseman on the depth chart.

I'm going to start scapegoating posters here. It's like throwing food into a piranha tank.
Sooooo...he failed because he didn't trade half the team for Weber?
He failed because Nashville matched?
He failed because he offered Parise the most money of any contract he had on the table? (allegedly)
He failed because he didn't bring Carle back for best-dman-on-the-team money?
Homer did everything he could this offseason, in my opinion. He may have "failed" but he sure as hell did all he could to make the team better. - Giroux_Is_God
I don't hold Homer responsible. He gambled on exactly what the Flyers needed without gutting this team and it just didnt work out. But this team still has the talent. Need some more pieces and we are set up for a nice offseason. I sacrifice another two months for a good pick, Corey Perry, and more.
I always thought the Flyers played better when they play on the edge, with physicality and a lot of emotion. I also thought that having both Sestito and Rinaldo in the lineup would have a nice trickle down effect on the rest of the team.
boy, was I wrong. This team is LIFELESS. Overall this might actually be a worse game than Sunday vs. TB.

Who's going to replace Timonen? Who is a defensive prospect that we have in the farm?
Is Voracek even on this freaking team? He brought nothing all season! This team looks so bad right now I dont even want to hear about D, this team cant buy a goal right now.

I don't know about Laviolette, but if I were coach I'd pull the 'ol locker switcheroo. Works everytime - eayost
Time to bake a (frank)ing cake. Fill it with jam. Cover it with jam. Unveil it to the locker room behind a curtain made of jam. Bring Jacque Lemaire in to throw a (frank)ing jar of jam against the wall. Rename the team the Philadelphia Jams.
