I always thought the Flyers played better when they play on the edge, with physicality and a lot of emotion. I also thought that having both Sestito and Rinaldo in the lineup would have a nice trickle down effect on the rest of the team.
boy, was I wrong. This team is LIFELESS. Overall this might actually be a worse game than Sunday vs. TB. - FlyerGuy
It is definitely worse then Tampa. There isn't much emotion out there. They have to find another gear. Just too much individual play. Too much doubt in their game. Playing around the perimeter.

I'll do the same as I always do. Look at the game and make an informed and accurate description of what I see. As opposed to scapegoating one player, just because I don't like him. Especially when that player is at best the 7th defenseman on the depth chart. - MJL

I don't hold Homer responsible. He gambled on exactly what the Flyers needed without gutting this team and it just didnt work out. But this team still has the talent. Need some more pieces and we are set up for a nice offseason. I sacrifice another two months for a good pick, Corey Perry, and more. - Flyers1218
I blame Homer to an extent, because his aggressiveness cost him a chance to retain both Carle and Jagr. Obviously, had he landed Suter or Weber, it'd be a moot point, but whatever the circumstances, the did not land either. |

This team has no heart or soul. There is nothing to this team. They are going to make this a really short season. |

Time to bake a (frank)ing cake. Fill it with jam. Cover it with jam. Unveil it to the locker room behind a curtain made of jam. Bring Jacque Lemaire in to throw a (frank)ing jar of jam against the wall. Rename the team the Philadelphia Jams.

I hold Homer responsible, but considering the work he has done I think he's still a really good GM.
I wouldn't fire him. |

I know realistically the flyers aren't this bad. In saying that with this being a short season I can suffer through another bad season and get a great player in the draft. Kimmo should be gone so there is money to sign a mobile puck moving Dman.
B Schenn has been disappointing and Couturier hasn't done much offensively. Jake has been invisible. Giroux is trying to do to much.
The youth is killing us at this moment. |

So you guys don't root for a second team?
I'm the only person on earth who roots for 2 teams?

The Blues baby
Pietrangelo is the only non-Philly athlete in any sport ever whose name+number is on a shirt I own
But in no way do they "threaten" the Flyers. Not even this season, if they are abysmal. |

Does this team even care. It's seems like this team doesn't realize or care they are playing a real game. If this keeps up no way do they get near the playoffs. |

No, because I'm a big boy. I don't just go, "oh, this isn't working. I'm going to root for so and so team now." I stick by my team, good or bad. |

Bottom line is that every player that matters on this roster has taken a step back and played below expectations except for Bryzgalov and Luke Schenn.
