Besides the fact that he was one of our best players in the playoffs?

he put up 9 points in 11 playoff games despite obviously showing some affects of the Asham hit.

3 goals, 6 assists, and 28 hits.. in 11 games.. over a full season thats a pretty impressive stat line..

lol, well we haven't seen the playoffs since man landed on the moon it seems, so you win that one. I was going strictly with regular season points, since that is how it is usually done.

I would say it has been. They couldn't work out a deal for Weber or lure Sutter from playing in Minnesota with his pal parise. I believe by this time next season we'll have our guy.

I dont think he will ever be an elite player. Thats probably your problem right off the bat. Expecting him to be mentioned with the Crosby, Malkins, and Stamkos' of the league is unfair. I expect him to be a very good player. He has very good hands, good speed, has the necessary compete level and unquestionable work ethic. As for skills.. He has good passing, great hockey sense, and a damn good shot. He is also entering his soph. season. He struggled out of the gate last year, but look at his starts from Jan. 1 on.

If the Flyers can sign Timonen for one year at four million. That would be perfect and it buys the Flyers time in case they can't find a number one defenseman.

the best bet is to try and get someone who has struggled to some degree or else the cost would be too high. one example, bogo. i would have tried really hard to get pk, but that ship has sailed.

I don't see how it could be interpreted as much else, although it may mean a trade before a firing.

In reading his comments, the personnel responsible for the special teams are on the hot seat.

I beg for nothing more then patience at this time. I am ok with a down year, I think the majority of the fans understand that the trades made a couple of years ago ment that there would be some growing pains. Ed needs simmer down.

With all the heartache Brayden schenn has given us doubt the flyer faithful could bear the burden of another struggling talented prospect at position this franchise needs... Oh the agony... Calgon take me away!

I expect him to be a top end player.. just not elite. I think when all is said and done he could be a 70 point player..

I read the quotes. And the response was to a question of what he learned and what he feels he needs to work on. He did not say that he was not strong enough to play in the NHL. And there were also numerous quotes from his teammates and the head coach stating that Laughton did not look out of place, playing in the NHL.

I don't think the youth hockey foundation has anything to do with flyers operations. If it was important they would've made a hard push for iginla.

I don't even have to look this up to know it's wrong, Kadri has 24pts in 56 games played and is out scoring B. Schenn career wise.

Ultimately, Laviolette will be responsible. My understanding is that Mullen works with the PP and McCarthy runs the PK.

Signing the paychecks gives Snider the leeway to not be patient...but I agree. They need to stop changing course every two or three years. It always seems that the Flyers are trying to copy what the last Stanley Cup winner did.

Mullen coaches the power play, and has done one hell of a job. Has been over 20 percent every year but one, and remember what it did against the Penguins in the playoffs last year. Yes, they are off to a slow start this year. Not too worried about it.

Berube works with the PK. McCarthy works with the defensemen. Paddock is the eye-in-the-sky (along with Mullen), whose main task is watching team D as well as any other general observations.

Now add in the 11 playoff games. They are also NHL games.
