They've got a big body in McGinn and I think Gomez is just a better all-around player with equal-or-greater versatility at this point. Obviously, there is a size and style difference, but that's not a deterrent for me.

I just don't see where Gomez is a better fit. They already have at least one center playing out of position on a wing. The lone thing Gomez has on Knuble is speed, but it's not as if Gomez is Michael Grabner at this point of his career.

Give him a chance to adapt before canning him. Hes got the pulse on this team.. while the team quits often.. he fired them up when down 3-0 in the series against boston and 3-0 in game 7.

If we go from this aggressive style to a style like murrays we might see some regression with the young guys.

Changes are needed for sure.. but lets give the guy some dmen!

Its like the eagles.. they get a real WR and they go to the super bowl.. we get a real dman (pronger) and we go to the cup finals.

good lord, those uniforms were horrendous.

I think that may be that old adage that you don't lose your spot due to an injury. I like what I've seen in McGinn. But Rinaldo can add a spark with his physical play.

they suck now. maybe not absolutely. but they suck. and every time i think i hate the rangers the most, along come the devils to remind me that i hate them with an equal amount of vigor.

Its not simple. But its also unfair to the coach to have a set of dmen that aren't great.

Grossman was a solid addition. Timonen is getting older, but still important to this team. Coburn, whom i love, is kinda stuck in a rut. Mezzy can't stay healthy but has been great when he is.

He added Luke Schenn, who has been much better then I expected him to be. I think he will actually grow an offensive side to his game playing here. I dunno if he'll be a #1 or not, and i'm not hopeful that he will be, but he's at least a top 4 at a young age.

Gervais has been better then advertised as well.

I get what you're saying though.. #1 dmen don't grow on trees... and lots of teams are looking for them.

I would have LOVED Visnosky(sp). Dude put up over 60 points at his age last year. Or the year before i can't remember... still impressive. And he isn't really a #1 guy.

I dunno.. i don't have the answers... just a laundry list of complaints...
