Racial. Now I am being racial?
Hey I cant help it that NFL football players always find themselves in the middle of some serious offenses and a lot of times events that lead to death and or deaths.
In no way was I being racist. - BuffaloHardHat
be that as it may when you "have opinions because i'm entitled to them like everyone else" you open yourself up for language interpretation.
what you typed may have sounded racist to me, that doesn't mean i think you're a racist exactly. it would be like me saying i think your opinions might come off as idiotic but i am not in anyway calling you an idiot personally.
what you say and how you say it are equally important and the thing is if people do have opinions that they can shoot out of their mouths at everyone then they should probably be ready just as easily to defend it with real reasons as well. |

Just to be totally accurate here, Ray Lewis was convicted of Obstruction of Justice and nothing else. I know that is criminal but your tone makes it sound like he was indeed convicted of murder, which he was not. - JdoublesU22
Yeah, its like when Baltimore beat N.E. 2 weeks ago and Welkers wife went off online about how Lewis murders people and has 7 kids with six different women. Then I heard Ray Lewis has no children.

I really don't care how you spin it he was involded in a murder. He ditched his suit from the night in question and lied to police. He was nothing short of a shady character and people act like he's this model NFL player which is false. - sbroads24
Just sticking with facts. You can believe what you want to believe but fact remains he was not convicted of murder. A shady circumstance, for sure, but he has also done plenty of good with his influence which a lot of people choose to ignore. Which is another way to "spin" it. |

People or media? If not for the media I'm willing to bet most people would have the perception that he's a great football player but lacks moral character. The fact that we have to see this guy crying on camera every 5 minutes is straight up annoying. |

What sport has a worse role model representation then the NFL ?
I'll hang up and listen. - BuffaloHardHat
Ultimate Tazer Ball. Google it.
Soccer players are pretty scummy. Boxers seem to always do something stupid at some point in life, even the "good guys". Lacrosse also produces some of the scummiest individuals I've ever met. |

What? He does have children with different women. 1 of them is playing at the University of Miami next year as a running back |

Yes. Yes I would!
If you knew me personaly you would know I live my life based on principle so yes I would care. - BuffaloHardHat
Did you like Derek Roy? How about Dominik Hasek? Jim Kelly?
I would completely agree if you said you only associate yourself with higher principle pleople in real life but as fans we have as much to do with what/who the sabres are as we do the Yankees.

Exactly.
Some continue to be brainwashed by the almighty engine that is the NFL.
My point to this whole matter is that I cant believe that the NFL is trying to peddle someone with the past of Ray Lewis as some kind of hero.
For Gods sake , wake up . |

Again, I heard. I really dont care. Its not my life. Its just funny how people get jealous of others sucess so they have to pick apart aspects of that persons life. |

It's nauseating. His whole team made it to the Super Bowl not just him. You don't see Ed Reed who very well might retire if they win, make a huge scene to attract attention |

You're clearly basing your whole opinion of the NFL on Ray Lewis. |

So the NFL should have rigged the game to the Ravens would lose because one guy on a 53 man roster had a legal problem once? |

No.
C'mon do I have to go over everything that has happened again involving NFL players just over the last 3 years?
It would take me a few hours just give you all the cases. |

It's the biggest sport in America. Obviously you will hear every single incident that happens off the field with the players. You don't hear that Zac Rinaldo has been in numerous bar fights in Canada. |

I hope Flacco throws 5 td's for 400 yards. The amount of criticism this guy draws is head scratching. |
