It was an entertaining game last night . Back and forth.
The thing I notice with the Leafs , is the same I notice with the Canucks, the young guys seem to make a difference. Frattin Kadri and even Aucoin on the NYI seem so far ,to be the impact players. On the Canucks it is Kassian and Tanev. - VANTEL
It's finally happening: we are playing the kids.
I'm 100% OK with not making the playoffs this year.
Just keep playing the kids.
And then play them some more.

I had a quick read of the Sun and Star sports sections, and one thing struck me: it seems that Carlyle (unlike a certain other Leafs coach, whose name rhymes with "that stupid petulant SOB Smilson") actually praises his players when they do things right, and lets them know when they do things wrong.
My God, what a concept! |

I much rather see the Kids playing, its a strong draft year, trade a few guys for the first rounders Burke was talking about at last years deadline, and maybe, just maybe, we will have a good team in 3-4 years. |

at first i was a little skeptical about bringing Carlyle in, i thought maybe he was just another Wilson.. But so far i like what he brings to the team. Players are buying in. Maybe Kessel's lack of success is because he actually isn't that good of a player in today's two way game league. One dimensional offensive players are becoming less of a commodity it seems. Look at Ovie, he changed his game and now he'll be lucky to put up 80 pts a season. |

Thank you my friend, I know what Frattin can do, I have seen him drive the net watching Marlies games and at N.Dakota games, doesn't mean he will have games like last night all the time but he has something the Leafs sorely lack, net presence and grit in a forward that can chip in with some goals. - LeafMan
A keeper. Love guys that play like this kid. I'll take a whole team of them, thank you. |
