Looking at the Islanders roster, its amazing they can even compete on a nightly basis, let alone win any games. Aside from 2-3 players, its a horridly brutal roster.

but washington is poop right now, montreal/the peg could go either way, boston is solid, carolina is either hit or miss.

So how do you guys think the Defence is shaping up over the next couple games?

I think Franson's rightfully earned a spot through the weekend.

Kostka will continue to get big minutes with Dion.

Fraser will probably take a seat, which means more of Komi.

Any idea when Gardiner returns?

Also, was wondering what you guys think of Liles this year. Personally I think he's been awful. Looks a full step behind everyone else

Washington isnt as bad as their record indicates anymore than the Habs are as good as their record indicates. Caps are due to breakout, and Toronto is the perfect team to start with. Im not taking them lightly at all If im the Leafs, or any opponent for that matter.

WSH will be hungry after blowing the game vs. Ott. They're desperate. That said, those are the games this team NEEDS to win in order to make a charge.

Carolina games always seem to be close, but could go either way. I think it'll come down to goaltending for us, as we know Reimer's going to be given the bulk for the next week and a half.

Dion has been the teams best Dman this year, no lie. Hes been very solid, IMO.

Overpayed, not captain material, over played at 30 plus minutes...all true.

That said, hes a damn good player regardless of what the haters try their hardest to suggest.

6 games in, concussion last year, half a year of hockey off after the summer...lots of the experiences guys are taking a bit to get going..look around the league..especially in LA, prime example.

It is so nice though that we actually have offensive options. Even with our best scorer in a dry spell and our second best injured, we're finding depth on the wings to contribute

The only team the Leafs can take lightly is maybe Florida if they were missing Campbell, Weiss, Fleischmann and were playing their 5th game in 8 nights all on the road with the balance of the team having the flu.
