yeah but you make it sound like Canada is going to and has been destroying us. it's not the case at all.
and look at the WJC. USA, gold. Canada, 4th.
what gives? - Fountain-San
as a Canadian i hate it when arrogant Canadians start cutting down other countries hockey programs.it's a world game and Canada isn't the dominant force it was in the past.I've met lots of American hockey fans who are into the game as much as any Canadian. |

I don't even have to read this article or any of the comments to know that it is all wrong. Canada>USA in hockey is as guaranteed as the sun rising, the earth spinning, and rain in Vancouver. - Sabresfan-365

Tell you what. You guys use all the video games you want, and we'll ice Crosby, Stamkos, Giroux, Tavares, Toews, Getzlaf, Perry, Keith, Doughty, Weber, Price, and about 20 other guys who'd be number one on at their position on your team, and we'll just let everything play itself out. - oniremosewa
USA took Canada to OT in the last gold medal game. Most of the time the best teams are the ones that are greater than the sum of their parts.
You need role players, and most importantly a great coaching staff to win. And as more and more American players begin to play, it's only natural that we become more competitive.
This device may give an advantage, but no more than having ice availability virtually 24/7 like it is in Canada from what I hear. |

I grew up in St. Louis back then I think we had eight rinks in the area meaning within an hour plus away. Two of them were outdoors. The majority were seasonal. We used to have ponds for maybe two weeks out of the year and that ended as the nineties went on and it got warmer. By the time I graduated highschool another five rinks were added. There's even more now.
Since the high school I went to has produced: Yan Statsny, Paul STatsny, Ben Bishop, Neil Komodoski Jr. and Chris Butler. From St. Louis we also have produced Cam Janssen(yeah I know), Brandon Bollig, Pat Maroon, Mike McKenna and Joe Vitale to name most of them. These are players that weren't just born in St.Louis, some were not born there. But these kids grew up and learned how to play in St. Louis.
A lot of credit goes to the Blues alumni as many of them stayed in St. Louis and raised their families there. I played hockey with one of Blake Dunlop and Bernie Federko's kids. I once got called on a line at a practice Federko, Statsny and my name. I said wait coach I have to soak that one in a bit.
My point is that all the way down in middle America we are holding our own. We all love hockey and while that might mean the majority in Canada it is the minority down here. But that minority is rather large compared to the base in Canada it is comparable.
So let us love hockey and our team and keep away from the stupid arrogance. Yeah Canada has and will continue to produce some of the best players in the world. |

Mmmmkay.
Look at the top prospects in this upcoming draft. What is one thing you notice?
1 American.
Canada lost this past year due to (frank)ing awful coaching. The talent was there, it was 1000% the coaches fault. - FLYERSROCK!

Just wait and see. In 2 years Canada will be the absolutely greatest Military superpower in the World full of Black Ops specialist thanks to COD.
Oh and for the record I am an amazing Football coach. Took the Buccanneers to a 16-0 record this year with Josh Freeman having 72 TD and 4 INT's. #madden13
