So excited for tomorrow. Hope regehr, kaleta and gerbe draw back in the lineup. Playing boston is not the same without them. |

I'm not even a fan of the team and it bothers me. I'm sorry for those like yourself that do root for the Sabres.
"Sabres sole existence is to the win the Stanley Cup", but we will play Matt Ellis in crunch time, ha. - Gunner Staal
It's ironic, isn't it? Terry Pegula may want a cup more than anyone in hockey. Yet, he can't bring himself to do the one thing he needs to get to the right direction: fire his hero. |

Ryan O'Reilly is that type of player regier likes, could be a Briere type of player?
Just my opinion, Avs are looking for a young prospect and a 2nd rounder? ![;)](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif) - Irish 14
He'd be a perfect 3rd line center if we were to move ennis back to the wing
And we do have good young talent that could interest them at the center position in Catenacci, Kea & Jacobs...
Maybe there is a deal to be made |

Not so much the same type of player, but watching the player take off! like briere did? - Irish 14
I see what you're saying. Yea I think he's right on the brink, 26 points first 2 seasons and then last year he doubles that up with 55... Could be the start of an upswing, would be nice if it continues with a Blue and Gold jersey on his back... |

gerbe is healthy he will be back in the lineup or else they will dress 7 dman and play one of them on the wing for 4 shifts. |

There is something to be said about the fact that Chara didn't become the player he is now until close to age 30. Whether Myers becomes a Chara-type player (I don't think he will), or a player of a different mold, I don't think you will see him reach his full potential for a while. 6'7"+ players and above have a hard time with coordination, filling out, etc. in basketball, a sport with many of those types of guys. Hockey is even tougher.
That being said, I agree. The only thing Myers and Chara have in common is that they both eclipse 7 feet on skates. - buffalofan19
There is something to be said about his skill set alone. You don't dismiss talent. You will find examples of guys who have talent and don't develope the fundementals until a few years into their career. I don't think you will ever find too many players who develope natural talent that Myers has. Again the argument that he doesn't use his size is just plain stupid. His reach and ability to take pucks off of players sticks is due to mostly his height and length. People expecting him to fight are going to be badly disappointed |

Travis Zajac, Ilya Kovalchuk or Zach Parise would arguably be our best player if they were on the Sabres and they had all three. I know they had great support especially from their 4th line (Ryan Carter, Stephen Gionta and Steve Bernier) but they also had the super stars to count on. We have none. - LamontSanford
Disagree A LOT on Zajac, and I'll give ya the other 2,
But besides them their roster was average at best
Btw,
Both vanek and pominville had more points last year than any Devil player
So don't get too carried away with all that "superstar" talk
That term is so subjective,
And WAY overused IMO
The point was that Jersey exceeded their talent level by playing as a team within a system |

Gerbe?
Regehr never fights it seems and Kaleta can't beat any of the Boston guys. Especially now with a wonky neck.
The only person I care about being in the lineup tomorrow is John Scott. |

you forgot that John Scott is a terrible hockey player.. he is just as much or more of a roster waste as Ellis.. Having these two turds on the team really handcuffs your ability to ice a comptetive team |

Yea but it's not like Ruff would listen to one of the most gifted offensive players in our teams history. When I used to hang out with Rick Martin's kid, Rick would come back from a Sabres event and MF Ruff for the next 30 minutes about how he doesn't listen to anything the old timers tell him, and that sort of thing. So it's more like Terry paying him to hang out together. |

as it has been said before... if scott is on the ice at the same time as Lucic's line we are in trouble. |

I think he gets criticized too much
He has "superstar" talent, just not the consistency...
Which is why he gets ripped so much
He's good, with potential to dominate at any given point |

Myers already skates well. Chara literally had to learn how to skate. IMO their paths to development couldnt be more different. |
