Its a shame because the first couple of Die Hards were awesome. Hans Gruber? What a villain. But the newer ones get hokier and hokier. That trailer is ridiculous. - jak521
Colonel Stewart from Die Hard 2 is an underrated villain. I liked Die Hard 2 better than the first one. |

lol.. weak argument. Im married.. I see movies because I have no other choice. - jak521
I just don't think we should confine our beliefs to that which society has dictated for us based on our gender and other social factors. If we enjoy something, whether it be a musical, romantic comedy or ice hockey (or all of the above) we should just enjoy it. That's what I do and I'm a very happy dude.
Oh and the Barksy argument is ace. |

I agree. I think we may see Lilja and Shelley packaged. Word on the street is the Flyers are in the market for a new zamboni driver. |

I guarantee if Snider watched the game in TB, he was embarrassed to be the owner of the team. The effort and intensity in that game was a disgrace. You see guys in beer leagues give more effort. - PLindbergh31

Frankly, John McClane wasn't supposed to be a 'save the entire world' character. He should be kicking ass and chewing bubble gum, doing the dirty work. |

The second one is overlooked, what with being in between the original and the Samuel L Jackson one. Man, now I really want to watch Die Hard |

I don't think Bobby Ryan is the answer, but i'd love to add him to this team. Him and giroux would be great together.
We're going to have to figure the defense out... but if nothing pops up grabbing him might go a long way to bring in perry/getzlaf if neither are resigned tis offseason.
I hope neither resign in Anaheim. I'd love to be able to take a run at both guys. |

You mean Messrs Willis and Stallone at ages 57, and 66 aren't good action stars anymore? - PLindbergh31
Don't forget Arnold Schwarzenegger. I saw he starred as an old leather handbag in that new movie The Last Stand (working title '(frank) You, It's January'). |

I liked the 3rd. Provided action but a little bit more comedy. The scene at the start when he was wearing the billboard was a great way to start the movie.
That new one, with the nerdy kid? Ugggghhhh I wanted to shove pinecones up my ass. |

I would not trade for Ryan. I would wait for him to become an UFA. It was funny seeing Carchidi bring it up a couple of days ago. |

I'd never go that route. I'm the guy that goes into a casino and runs out when he has won $10. |

I started dispising jackson after that movie. Ruined it for me.

Sad thing is that the kid isn't even what ruined the movie. The action was so so fake. As a rule of thumb, too, digital blood splatters are lame. I can't remember a single thing that happened in that movie, just that the bad guy hacked the streetlights and Wall Street or something. |

Playing the stock market is pretty easy for the most part... you find companies like Mcdonalds and you buy in the 80's and sell in the high 90's... rinse and repeat... pays nice dividends too...
Oil is another good one. Oil has been AMAZING under Obama.. despite his hatred for coal.
Stay away from any kind of green energy company and you're golden. Tech sector seems to be struggling as well right now.. |

The last good "action" movie I saw was probably XXX, and even thats a stretch.
The Hobbit was pretty good though. I'm a LOTR guy. |

Arnold's next role should be where he's married to a billionaire, and knocks up the house keeper.... oh wait, he's done that already. - PLindbergh31

Check out Dredd if you can. It's nothing special, but it's a simple action movie. Kind of a cross between Die Hard and Escape from New York. Plus, Sylvester Stalone isn't in it.
I liked the Hobbit. Might not have met everybody's expectations, but I had fun.
Oh, Django Unchained was good for some ridiculous action, too. Definitely not for the kids, though. |
