I just commented again... Basketball players sublux all the time and play within a few days. They actually have braces that help support the shoulder. Typically, if there is no Bankart, these are treated with pretty intense PT. Can be anywya.

Meszy has (in my educated guess, because they are so (frank)ing vague) a deltoid tear... likely at the attachment. Easily misdiagnosed as a shoulder separation early on.

I personally had a grade 2 separation and deltoid tear at the attachment. I was back to normal in about 6 weeks, but was playing in 3. All depends. You will have considerable weakness early on.

Gotcha. Not sure if it's the same shoulder that Meszaros had the labrum surgery, if it is, that would have to be a factor I would think.
