Not necessarily, or in principal. But I don't think it's what we need at the moment.
My post was more of a comment on the tone of most of your posts and your general attitude on here. Many of them seem like you're going out of your way to be a Richard, not trying to avoid it. For example, you continue to bring up non-hockey related, inflammatory topics like politics (most recently a derogatory reference to the VP) despite the fact that it has no place on these boards.
In general, you don't conduct yourself on here like someone who is trying to avoid being a Richard. Maybe you're a swell guy in real life (although your past comments about your wife and women in general make me question that), I don't know. But it's a free country and this is the internet so you can do more or less what you want until/unless you get banned. But in case you weren't sure, you don't come across as a guy trying to avoid being a Richard. - BringBack25
But others posting pictures of unions are ok with you?
Or others using some vulgar rhyme to compare our pp to a hooker is ok?
Guess it just comes down to whose opinion you agree with.

yeah, no question ... some episodes are even kind of hard to watch AND laugh. - FlyerGuy
And there's few people who enjoy cringe humor as much as I do.
I just find that sometimes pushing the boundary is the most important thing to them. Not that it's bad, but I can laugh at Jack Benny acting cheap and Gilbert Gottfried telling The Aristocrats. To me, the humor is the key. |

Absolutely. Saying a show isn't Seinfeld or The Simpsons isn't knocking it. Raymond was a great show, with a very good cast.
Of course, you could put Peter Boyle in some dreck like "Girls" and I'd watch it. - Jsaquella
Robert and Frank made that show. Then Robert got his own show that went the way of "Joey" and Frank is dead. |

Actually, New York is a pretty cool place. Just not a fan of their teams. |

Spin-offs are rarely sustainable. It can be hard to capture that magic with a limited cast.
Fraser is probably one of the better ones, and honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of it. |

Oh I'm one of them. Love Family Guy, but there have been a few SP episodes that make me hope the big man upstairs didn't just see me laugh at that.

You have to take some of it in context.
The picture of Teamsters was actually a joke about unions being difficult to deal with. Bill mentioned that MSG has long had issues with it's ice and the text that went with the picture made it clear that the union took offense at Bill's suggestions about poor ice quality. |

If it's the picture I'm thinking of it's more hockey related than pro union. Maybe you're referring to something else. |

Well, I was responding to you, not others. Not everyone on here is a saint, that's for sure. There are plenty of other posts and posters that cross the line. You were the one that claimed you weren't trying to be a Richard. I'm just pointing out that it's not working. You're certainly not the only one on here, and I never said you were.
More specifically, making up a rhyme to ridicule the power play is a lot different from denigrating an entire gender, or an entire state or political party. If you don't get that, there's not much point in continuing this discussion. |

I used to watch Family Guy ... but the whole missing-plot line to the jokes kind of bored me. I still think it's funny, just I like the jokes to mean something to the show as a whole (if that makes sense).
The SP episode of them poking fun at Family Guy was hilarious.

An entire gender? You sure you are talking about me? I love my wife and son.
I never once denigrated an entire gender. Never once. |

Let me see if I've got this recap of the last few pages right:
Not all gods are omniscient.
Seinfeld is hysterical.
Scoob's humor preferences still puzzle me. |
