What does that have to do with PAP picking up where he left off? Where are all the guys who said he was garbage without JT? I don't care about the Avalanche |

PAP 2 goals 1 assist tonight Okposo 2 bruised elbows 1 bruised knee tonight from falling down all over the place - Vukota
knee injury might be related to how he gets his ice time for coach Jack... |

Congrats guys on your great start so far this season. Hopefully all that young talent is starting to come together.
Islanders are probably my 2nd favourite team, so it's nice to see. Plus, you guys definitely deserve a nice run here after all the crap your fan base has been put through. |

Has jack capuano been reading my keys to winning. Lol. Nice win. I was at game and in have to say it was exciting. While we let tie it 3 times, Devils never had a lead in game.
Biggest difference with this team is we are we would have lost this game last year.
Isles are the #1 pp and #2 pk in the NHL. That's why we are where we are.
People really have focusing on the one negative in game. It was huge win.
Refs almost blew it for us at end of game. But the isles still prevailed.
Let's go isles. Stop hating on garth. The rebuild is coming thru. As for nino he must be hating auction right now.
How you guys feel about waiver wire now? Hickey , strait and aucoin looking pretty good right now. |

PAP re-signed on the first line would've been a win win no matter how many of these kool aide drinkers don't want to admit. |

People who say the first line needs a power forward also think PA was the answer there. It's tough to square those two lines of thought. PA is a nice player, but certainly isn't anything close to a power forward. |

A power forward would be nice & IF KO ever became that (or anyone for that matter) Awesome, But we had a player that complimented the line & another season of MM-JT-PAP gelling would have been magical to watch.

Wouldn't have solved the issue of a top six that really could use a tough board presence among other things to become a deadlier force out there. I don't think points from the first line is an issue this season...or was an issue last season. Don't get me wrong...PA is a nice player, and sure, he'd probably be a better fit there than KO. But I'm just not sure he'd be the difference between the team taking the next step or not. I think we're making a bigger deal of it than it's worth, personally. I think all but the harshest PA cynics out there knew he'd put up his share of points for Colorado, and good for him. And it probably does go back to that issue of having players leave without necessarily replacing or upgrading that position. But I'd rather have a player put up fewer points on that wing and add a tougher dimension to that line. |
