Corey Pronman @coreypronman
I could see arguments for that or him being close to that. RT @TheTwanMan: @coreypronman Do you think Hamonic is a #1 defenseman? |

There comes a time where you have to stop trading away vets and bringing back prospects and picks if you want to make the playoffs. If you really think this team can become a playoff team this year or over the next two seasons, you have to bring Streit back. I don't see a point in trading him away for a second round pick or something like that. Sign him to a two-year extension. You know he'll sign a fair deal, he already did and he did so when the team was s**t. Now that it appears to be on the upswing, I'm sure Streit would re-sign for a fair deal. - Jethro09
There also comes a time when you have to improve impact roles to make said team better. While Streit has been handy for the team as an offensive defensemen, he is NOT a top pairing dman IMO. At 35 years of age, Streit's best years are behind him. Quite honestly I think he had a very poor season last year and I haven't been overly impressed with him this year as well. He's a defensive liability to put it mildly. So while I appreciate that he came here at a time that other players didn't want to, I also recognized that we overpayed to get him here. I only suggest considering dealing him if we don't appear to be in contention this year. But the idea of signing him to help our playoff drive two years from now is a bad one. If he's being asked to QB our PP at that point and still getting top pairing minutes, this team will not have improved enough. He would have to take less salary and be prepared for a reduced role to stay. If he's willing to do that, then maybe we have something here, but I also don't think he'd be thrilled playing here as a FORMER Captain and the fact is, I don't want him to be the teams Captain next year. |

He's got 5 points now. Been a little better than I thought. He was basically rolston is buffalo last year. He is good on that 2nd line. Neilson has 6 points now too. |

Boyes has talent, always did, but needs to play with playmakers to gets his points, in BUFFALO, they lacked talent or their were always injured, so they soured on him and dropped him to 3rd line |

Seriously, wtf?!? You'd think Capuano would SEE his team running around after the Devs scored their first goal and MAYBE call a timeout to settle the troops. But, noooooooooooooo. |

This team is still (frank)ing terrible 5 on 5. As soon as the special teams start going south we are in trouble |

They let up the goal because they (like ALWAYS) failed to just flip the puck out of the zone!! They were beyond exhausted. Terrible |

that goes on the head of everybody on that line. Absolutely no excuse that they didn't get off the ice as soon as that penalty expired. |
