So they bring up an enforcer to deal with our enforcer...So much for team toughness

I like Ott playing w ennis & stafford,
That should get that line going bc he can actually win a faceoff & they won't have to spend half their shift chasing the puck, they can instead attack

We do need to find another winger to play on that 3rd line w Grigorenko (I like Foligno there)
Leino should be back soon and will get a shot
Flynn & Adam are possible call-ups with some offensive ability
And Armia could be a wild card,
He will like join Rochester in about a month when his team in finland's season is over
He might get a shot too

And there's always the possibility of a deadline trade too

- jdfitz77

I don't see Armia as any type of immediate answer when he is able to come over. I stick with my belief that it is time for Darcy to make a true blockbuster and get a young, proven scorer to shore up the second line woes. Be it Ryan, Perry, even Clowe. Someone.

When McNabb gets moved up here, it'll be at the same time as Pysyk. I think they're grooming them to play together. I like what I've seen as well. They compliment each other very well.
- HonkFortheGoose

Makes sense,
But bringing them up at the same time and having them both in the line-up makes our defense VERY young
That may be the Sabres plan,
But I'd get McNabb here first and see if he & Myers can sustain the kind of chemistry they had last year
Pysyk would be my first call-up for next year,
And I'd look to have him on the roster full-time the following season

Over course,
This is all just my crazy "if I were GM" ranting

"After their skate, Bruins coach Claude Julien announced that he is scratching Chris Bourque in lieu of AHL dancing bear, Lane MacDermid."

Sounds to me like they're planning to rape and pillage.

I'm starting to realize that Ryan is not only overrated but is way overvalued by the ducks organization. I feel like that was the main reason why he didnt get traded last year. I'd much rather put an offer sheet in for perry (doubt darcy would ever consider) and/or try and get clowe on this team.

As much as I think they need an elite scorer, I am starting to think Our defence needs the most help

All we have is Scott anyway....Foligno too but he isnt going to fight a heavyweight. Weber will just get beat up if he tries.

I could be wrong about this because I didn't watch all of the games last year, but from what I saw McNabb threw the hardest hits I've seen from any Sabre with an ounce of skill in some time. I don't remember him screwing up any worse than the other options. It makes me wonder why we call up Brennan when most of our NHL Dmen don't really like to hit too much and we already have solid PP point men.
- JCSabs06

He LOVES to hit
Has been suspended multiple times for it
And I have no problem with that
This team frankly could use A LOT more of that physical, borderline dirty type of play

Doesn't make sense to keep moving guys pairings around if you can avoid it. I think that's part of what's causing all the problems for Myers.

Bring them up together. Let them make their mistakes together.

Sounds like a whimp move made by the Bruins to me.

Sabres are not altering their lineup for the Bruins but the Bruins are for the Sabres.

The move for Scott is already paying off in my opinion. Julien is manipulating his lineup in fear of what he thinks may happen.

Darcy and Lindy win the battle so far in my opinion.

First of all Ryan didnt need to be traded they just said they were open to offers. Of coarse they would want alot. Corey Perry will be a free agent not restricted. There is no need to offer sheet him.

they bring up somebody that will fight and protect teammates if needed, we put in a 5'4 guy. Typical.

Any idea and what is going on with McCormick? If he is ready Kaleta to the IR McCormick dresses. I really dont like the fact that "Insane Lane" has been recalled. Looking at our lineup assuming Gerbe plays we have what 3 guys that will throw? Scott, Ott, and Foligno with Weber being a human punching bag (i respect him but he cant fight). There will be one fight Scott vs Thorton. Scott was brought here just for the Bruins so if he doesnt drop him he could see the waiver wire real quick!! Maybe Ott and Campbell since they have history

No, he wouldn't back down. Just as Weber, Ott or Regehr (anyone know if he's back in???) wouldn't.

However, the only guy with a chance at handling himself with Lu is Scott.

One of the problems (among many) with playing the Bruins, is that when it does finally get down to "chucking the knucks" (as Garf loves to say far too often), besides sweet Lu, they have McQuaid, Marchand, Campbell, Horton and Thornton all willing to throw 'em.

I don't see Darcy trading for a guy like that that's going to be UFA and might walk on us...
He just won't give up the assets it'd take
Ryan I could see happening bc he is signed

I'm curious why you (and others) think Armia won't be able to contribute right away?

He was supposed to go #6 in the draft and luckily fell to us
He's been good for his Finland team this year
And
He dominated the World JRs this year (6-6-12pts, 6games)...
He was far more impressive than Grigorenko or Galchenyuk who are both contributing right away
The only guy w more pts in the tourney was Nugent-Hopkins (15, played an extra game though)

I'm not saying he'll be amazing right away
But he could be the piece that helps our 3rd line score more consistently
He's big & has a nasty shot

He's been in 2 NHL fights, one against somebody that is 5'11 187 pounds soaking wet.

He hasn't stepped up to a heavy weight yet and I really dont want him too.
