Any idea what the Sabres thought are on McNabb?
Is he not here strictly bc of a numbers thing or did they think he needed more time?

well you stooped lower. i just find the most fascinating and sad part about these boards is people take ownership of their teams and actually think they are better than other people because who they are a fan of as if it has anything to do with any of us.

Armia is very much like Vanek. He's got the tools, but he tends to disappear for stretches.

lindy's favorite girl, kaleta, is still being visited by aunt flo and can't play tonight, correct?

chris bourque sucks and that big guy on your team who can't fight needs a suitable dance partner. connect the dots.

i'm sorry most of your dirtballs can't fight, but life ain't fair.

oh, mcquaid will be back too.

- ron_mexico7

so you need to dress some tough guy cause Thornton or Lucic cant sack up. Got it.

That sometimes happens
Certain guys just "click"
No reason he shouldn't be given a shot if Leino can't produce in that spot
We need somebody

- jdfitz77

Maybe, but my point is, we need a proven guy here, not Boyes type of guys but we need a blockbuster. Armia might be the answer, I'm just greedy and want a bonafide star.

he isnt going to beat up those guys, but he will fight them and probably hang in there just fine.

I dont consider Kaleta and McCormick in the same weight class to to speak. Kaleta middleweight sure, but Cody is more a light heavyweight than a middleweight I think.

- Homer

Yeah, I was actually just looking up his common opponents on hockeyfights. Thats more accurate for McCormick. I guess hes deceiving for his listed size.

Oh I know. Armia's issue, from what I've seen during the WJCs the last few years, is sometimes he just looks disinterested. If something happens in the game though that gets his attention, he's pretty much unstoppable.

The same as the Sabres, what's worse, trying to find a winner, or rewarding failure?

I like the idea of bringing in a "star" if it's a guy who is signed...
I hate the idea of giving up all the assets it'll cost for a guy that'll likely walk after the season

Exactly, you gotta draw a line when it comes to that, everyone on here can go back and forth about how terrible a team or player is, but when someone makes a statement like that about someone who is injured enough is enough

I would think Terry would throw a boat load of cash at him, or Darcy would want to agree to an extension before the deal is made.

The difference is that the Bills went and tried to hire people that were okay with having very little power. I like to think the Sabres wouldn't do that.

Are you as surprised as the rest of us that we haven't moved a defenseman or 2 yet?
Or do they want the depth?
It would seem to make sense to make a deal or two
