Oh I know. Armia's issue, from what I've seen during the WJCs the last few years, is sometimes he just looks disinterested. If something happens in the game though that gets his attention, he's pretty much unstoppable. - HonkFortheGoose
Sounds like most young players to me
And yet still, the only guy in that tourney who out scored him was a #1 overall pick with a full years NHL experience
He might not be as "ready" as some would like,
But he certainly has the talent to contribute right away
I'd like to see him here sooner than later |

Are you as surprised as the rest of us that we haven't moved a defenseman or 2 yet?
Or do they want the depth?
It would seem to make sense to make a deal or two - jdfitz77
Honestly who really wants what the Sabres would be willing to give up? Leopold could maybe fetch you something, they probably won't trade Regehr, Sekera has arguably been our best D-man, no one wants the Hoff's contract, Myers has a huge contract and is inconsistent, Weber is a 5/6/7 guy, Brennan won't get you anything. I think they might just want the depth in case we get a ton of injuries. |

I would think Terry would throw a boat load of cash at him, or Darcy would want to agree to an extension before the deal is made. - Dwight K. Schrute
Doesn't mean he'd take it...
Remember Brad Richards?
Not worth the risk IMO |

I agree, he is going to have his growing pains same as Grigs but he is showing he can be effective and he does have some serious talent |

Teams are desperate for defensemen
Leopold is decent
It's not like I'm asking for Zetterberg for him...
Helm is a 3rd/4th liner that can help us w grit & faceoffs
And id throw in mccormick sobyheud have a replacemt for his hole in the line-up
Seems fairly reasonable to me |

Why would no one want Hoff's contract? its 4M/yr cap hit. Hes received the bulk of his money. He will make $4M or less from here on out. Hes got a NMC and a modified NTC anyways.

off topic question im not a math person but hope someone can answer truthfully.
Backround is doing number for super bowl squares.
Question is: what is the probability of drawing 10 numbers in identical order back to back? |

because he is signed for 9 more years at 4 mil cap hit. Isn't there a rule that you have until next year to buy someone out that has signed his contract before the new CBA? I might be wrong but I believe you only have so long to buy someone out |

He has some skills that will translate well to the NHL, specifically his shot and knack to be in the right spot on the ice. I already wish it was next year |

I heard about this Druin kid, passed McKinnon on a lot of boards at the number 2 guy this year behind Jones.
EDIT: 6 games into the season and I'm already talking draft. The Sabres are turning into the Bills - Rally_Shots

You're exaggerating
Leopold isn't crap... He's plenty serviceable, ESP to a team that wants to compete but has injury issues |

Or u could eliminate the risk and trade for someone who is signed
And if Pegula is willing to throw big $$$ around (which seems to be the case)...
Doesn't it make for Darcy to just wait for free agency and not give up all the pieces it's take to acquire the "star" ppl want? |

I can't understand how people keep saying Sekera is our best defensemen. He is a -2 on the year. Leopold is the only one lower with a -3. He only has 5 hits. Myers and Regehr both have 12 and Weber has 3 playing in one game. He pinches at the wrong times and is horrible at keeping the puck in the zone. He makes bad passes once he is in the offensive zone, and seems to be always giving the puck away. Just because he had a goal in the last game doesn't make him our best d-man. He is a liability on the ice. |

i think its because he will have a couple of shifts a game where reads the play really well forces a turnover and sets up a odd man rush. he has great shifts but on the flip side he will also have a few bad shifts where he makes a terrible read/play that turns out to be costly. |
