False.

What am I missing on Niskanen? I maybe mistaken to call his stats inflated, but the Pens have the puck so much... and have a lot of two way players supporting their D. I'd leave the verdict open on him, but I can't say I've seen too many plays that have made me say 'Wow, Niskanen, what a stud.'

I don't really want our 12M d-man this season to re-break his wrist in a fight... Same goes for Ehrhoff.
- JVince11

Don't be silly. As long as you are "willing to go" Buffalo fans will love you and over rate you into oblivion. Doesn't matter how important you are to the team

Ask Carolina or Boston fans about Corvo. Coliacovo can't stay healthy to save his life, he's only played in 2 of Detroit's games

we all wish he would do this again... start a fight with a guy for hitting his teammate..

but then again... this is a video of a scuffle he got in while playing overseas on January 5th.

Which is why we know he is not afraid to "man up" or some stupid cliche that's used on here on a daily basis. He's obviously been told to stay away

Regher has had what, one fight since we signed him? Kaleta can't fight. McCormick would be nice but nbd.

Scott, Ott, Foligno, Stafford, Weber (Myers SHOULD get involved but won't)

- sambarugh

yeah i know what you mean about regher and kaleta but we dont have the toughness to match their top 3 tough guys. scott can only fight 1 guy at a time. so we need team toughness and the more guys that play tough the better. just my opinion ofcourse.

no. you dont. not at all. you need players who can score. then you make the teams who try to chase you around and lay fearsome bodychecks look stupid.

We female dog and moan about him on here and how he isn't scrappy "but but but he is 6'8 that means he must be a good fighter" If that wsa the case then we need to sign Manute Bol, George Meurson, and Shawn Bradley immediately..

If I was coaching a franchise d-man in the grooming at 12M this season and i know that he cannot fight well.. why have him risk breaking a hand, wrist, jaw, nose, shoulder, etc when a schmuck like Weber or Stafford can lose a fight just the same.

I personally don't think he's a stud either, he's just better than the average grade you gave him - IMO.

FIRE RUFF... Trade Myers Now... Weber is our best D-man (BuffaloHardHat)... Sekera is great value for only 2.75M... Myers contract is too big... Who is ready for an a$$ ramming?.... and Bruins brought up Lane MacDermid for this game.

Personally, I'd rather not have Stafford out there fighting just as much as Myers. There's already a problem with lack of scoring. I'm not about to tell one of the guys that I can get offensive production out to go out there and bust his hand either.

Oh I agree with you.... but if I had to chose on who i want to be missing for 3-5 weeks with a broken wrist.. I would rather be missing an inconsistent winger who only scores in hat tricks rather than our lead ice time guy and PP/PK'er.

Because, this franchise was b!tch slapped last season. Now everyone want's to pretend this team is something that they are not which is a tough team. I have no problem with having Scott for protection, or adding Ott, but that's not adding to the win column. Ruff needs to go before I ever make a final judgement on half the players on this team.

That's exactly what I want him to do!!!!!!

Why does a fight always have to equal a broken wrist?

Do boxers or guys in UFC automatically breaks both their wrists each fight?

Kaleta is not a great fighter.. but he sure has beat the sh!t out of a big handful of guys in the NHL.

No heavyweight.. no enforcer.. but scrappy and does a good job when he has to. It is when kaleta is asked to be a goon/enforcer and take on some of the big heavyweights of the league that he looks crappy... but in his agitator role.. he is perfect.

I don't totally disagree with you, except isn't the point of having that much size that with size comes physicality? It takes a long time to fill out a frame that big, but we got him to be a huge physical presence. There are plenty of offensive defensemen with more technical skill and less size that wouldn't come with those expectations.
