Because, this franchise was b!tch slapped last season. Now everyone want's to pretend this team is something that they are not which is a tough team. I have no problem with having Scott for protection, or adding Ott, but that's not adding to the win column. Ruff needs to go before I ever make a final judgement on half the players on this team.

That's exactly what I want him to do!!!!!!

Why does a fight always have to equal a broken wrist?

Do boxers or guys in UFC automatically breaks both their wrists each fight?

- sambarugh

Joe Calzaghne... (sp?) Great boxer.. title holder.. one of the best in recent memory.. had to retire becuase he would break his hands every fight...

you don't realize it.. but MMA fighters and Boxers usually do break a hand if the fight goes full distance...

were pretending to be a tough team. Fighting majors doesn't equate to toughness. Having Horton and Lucic on your 1st line does

Out of curiosity, does anyone think Derek Roy was so successful here solely because he DID NOT play Lindy Ruff's system?? Everyone knows Roy wanted to do things his own way in terms of playing, and he did well. Maybe we really do need a different coach. Just had an epiphany as I was urinating.

Yeah his 2 assists in four games proves that point. No more epiphanies please.

Ennis has had 2 pretty good seasons to start his career
20-29-49pts in his rookie year
15-19-34pts in 48games last season

Ennis + Brennan for O'Reilly?

I actually haven't seem much of him, but he seems to be a guy a lot of ppl here wanna try n trade for

I'm sure 90% of the Sabres fans on this site think that Lindy Ruff is the problem.

Roy's attitude needed to go, but Ruff's ineptitude ought to, too.

Which Sabres players do you like? I think if we changed our PP system to something that was actually effective at getting the zone set up, Ehrhoff would be a run-away as our leading defensive scorer. It's just a dream though.

I realize hockey players are fighting bare knuckle so to speak, it's just wrong to assume that they will break their wrist everytime they fight.

If you have a previously broken bone or joint it is highly likely to break it again.. I broke my hand via a boxer's fracture when I was 15.. and now 10 years later.. I have rebroken it 4 times... You never break your collarbone just once... a surgically repaired anything is usually weaker..

I wouldn't risk my franchise player to start a reoccuring injury thread.. I just wouldn't. Other people get paid far less and that is what they do for a living..

I would do that if I didn't have faith in Hodgson, Grigo, and Girgenson to play strong 2 way hockey in the future. But I do have faith in them so I wouldn't make a move like this.

Ennis is too skilled offensively to give up for a poor man's Kessler.

10 shots on goal
4 shots missed the net
9 shots were blocked.

10 out of 23 attempts. Not so good

Our PP has been very sub-par since he has been on the 1st unit. Again there are certain things Lindy won't change for some reason. I also hate Pommer on the point. IMO they need to put Grigo on the half wall like they did Connolly

Personally, I think Grigorenko has one of the best wrist shots I've ever seen. That thing is crazy. It's very deceptive and he's pretty accurate with it. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a bit more of it now that he's gotten his first goal.
