I'm thinking 6-1 Bruins tonight. Wondering if the backup will start for Boston. - burner087
My guess is Tuukka tonight, and Khudobin on saturday against the Leafs. |

Try to swollow this;
Gas was around $1.30 to $1.42 per gallon in the US in 1997 when Lindy came on board |

This is true, they have thrown their hat in on every key free agent(and some not so key) out there. Something that was unheard of under Golisano. - Dwight K. Schrute
It has something to do with the fact that not too many skilled players like playing for Ruff. He never sticks up for his guys, will call them out in public and find a way to bench them for Matt Ellis |

We are all sheep spending money on mediocrity. Nothing will change... And why would it when they are making $. - Smittyx36
how do you say there has been no change? The 2 biggest examples of mediocrity were derek roy and tim connolly and it didnt take long for them to get shipped out.
The trade for regehr and the signing of leino would never have happened before. all signs pointing to leino being a terrible mistake but that doesnt mean they accept it or are accepting mediocrity.
they clearly went after richards but couldnt get the job done, you tell me if they were going after richards with golisano.maybe you could blame darcy for not getting the job done, but all reports were that he was going to new york no matter what, so im not worried about it.
they realized their center talent was not even mediocre but just bad and traded their best prospect they've had in a long time for a probably equal or better quality prospect who played center, still need to see how that pans out. but its just another sign of not accepting mediocrity.
the only real gripe is with the coach. i cant defend it anymore. who knows how much better or worse he is than someone else we could bring in, but its stale. but to say that managemnt accepts mediocrity and isnt doing anything to change it is just assanine and so reactionary.
year 2 of their 3 year plan. they didnt promise their sole reason for existence was to win the cup in the first 2 years, they said 3 year plan. grigorenko, hodgson, both moves that make sense for year 3. if it doesnt work and they have to retool and still dont fire the gm or the coach, then i will question them, but until them its just sad. |

It's the NHL, you're supposed to fire coaches that do not win. Lindy has not won. He had maybe the best goaltender of all time, and maybe the most talented team in the NHL for 2 years post lockout. He didn't finish the job. He shouldn't be here - sbroads24
Again, I bring you Barry Trotz. Did Ruff have the greatest goalie of all time? Yes, but he had crap in front of him. |

I think Lindy Regier sounds better than Darcy Ruff.

It has more to do with parity in the league. A player can get the same money almost anywhere there is cap room and players will lean toward bigger markets with fans that don't cry all the time like Buffalo. |

Meh... He probably shouldn't have turned. But it was pretty crazy that Ruff came out and said those things, completely not needed... |

When a team plays us that knows they could walk through us but we randomly show up for the game and win!!!
We are 6 games into the season and already in playoff spoiler mode to the rest of the Eastern Conference..
VIVA LA SABRES!!!! - JVince11
Jesus.
A bit dramatic dont you think?
And if the Sabres win a couple in a row the same posters will be saying we will be favorites for the Stanley Cup this season.
I just laugh at how high and how low some of you get.

Because Darcy has a good track record in getting the job done that each owner has asked of him. Darcy has kept our cupboards stocked as best he was allowed under previous regimes. Contrary to what people think, Lindy is a good coach. Has he always had the tools to succeed? Your a fool if you hink so. Everyone thinks Lindy runs some tight defensive system and that is false. He allows his defensemen to pinch to keep the puck in the offensive zone and create scoring chances. Does he preach defense? Absolutely. I wouldn't want a coach that didn't. - Dwight K. Schrute
i dont have a problem with his system- all systems are over rated. hockey is an effort sport. lindy is a dinosaur in today's game and he can no longer connect with or motivate today's athlete.
pommer, hecht, ellis are his guys because they are old school and completely buy in. the kids roll their eyes.
they play afraid to make a mistake because when they do- hecht and ellis get their ice time.
i love lindy- loved him when he played here- but its time. |

Come on, thats like saying you would want Alex SMith here instead of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Alex isn't better than Fitz and Barry is a tire fire compared to Lindy.
Than Being said, Lindy still needs to go. James Patrick should take control |
